You watched him sit in the library, pouring over a letter in his hand. Watching his eyes scan the entire thing and then go back up to the top and scan the whole thing again. Repeatingly.

You walked over to him and walked behind him. You hugged him from behind, resting your head on to top of his.

"Hi" you whispered, as you were still in the library.

"Hi," he whispered back, setting down the letter. He pushed back slightly so you could sit on his lap. You smiled at the gesture and sat down looking at him.

"What was the letter" looking him in the eyes, trying to figure out what emotion he was feeling.

" Parents"

The one word was all you needed, you frowned. He was in a constant moral battle between not being disowned by his parents but also wanting to follow his moral compass. One that you helped him find.

"I'm sorry" you mumbled as you gently placed your hand on his cheek, rubbing your thumb softly against his soft skin. He shrugged, still looking numb in eyes.

"What did they say this time?" You asked, afraid of the answer, if you were being honest.

"The usual. If I don't get it together I will end up like sirius. Although they think that's a threat I think it would be great to end up like him. He has incredible friends, a loving boyfriend, a moral compass that he actually follows, dreams in life" regulus lost eye contact with you and turned his sight to stare at the floor.

You took his head in your hands, forcing him to look at you, he struggled but he did it. He made eye contact.

"As much as I would love you if you were like Sirius I would love you even more if you were Regulus. However regulus is supposed to be, be that. I want that." You whisper, making sure he kept eye contact the whole time.

"I love you" he replied, making you smile.

"I love you too"

"Sirius likes you" he said, smiling slightly. You raised an eyebrow at this new information.

" Yeah, he says I should marry you" he said in response to your reaction.

"Well, someday i'm gonna marry you" you say confidently, smiling at the boy you love so much.

" Think we will beat Sirius and Remus to the altar" he said chuckling slightly. You laughed at that comment.

"Well since it took them like five years to get together and us more like five months, I have a feeling we will." Laughing more as you pressed your face into his shoulder to quiet your laughs as you were getting stares.

You stayed in that position for a little while longer as regulus ran his finger tips up and down your back gently in a soothing matter.

" I'm glad sirius likes me" you mumble breaking the silence.

"Me too"
