As you sat next to Hermione, you watched as the Durmstrang boys walk in. You both looked at them and then at each other, giggling.

Later that day, Victor was talking hermione, you could tell from her body language that she was uncomfortable. You walked over and introduced yourself to Victor and hermione leaned in and whispered, " hold my hand. Please" you quickly complied. You grabbed her hand and looked at her and smiled.

Victor gave you two a confused look but continued talking. By the end of the conversation you both had forgotten you were even holding hands. You two said your goodbyes and left to go to the common room.

"Why are you two holding hands" ron asked as you two walked into the common room. You both pulled your hands away and burst out laughing.

" Victor was being weird, so hermione had me hold her hand to throw him off. I have to say it worked in my opinion" you explained to which ron and harry laughed at.

You all sat talking about the day and how you were excited for the yule ball. The boys left and you were laying back on the couch closing your eyes.

"Why are you staring at me" you asked without opening your eyes.

Hermione scoffed and said, " how did you know I was staring at you"

"I just knew" you said opening your eyes and smiling at her.

"Im lucky to have you in my life" hermione said, you blushed at her compliment and said, " well I like to think im lucky to have YOU in MY life"

You both sigh sitting next to each other. Resting your heads against the the back of the couch. Eyes closed. Just enjoying each others presence.

You felt her hand brush against yours, you peaked your eye open and saw her eyes still closed but a smile on her face. You close your eye and gently grab her hand. There you two were. Sitting in the common room, eyes closed, hands interlocked. Everything was right.
