As Adrian laid next to you he felt your sudden moments, not opening his eyes he simply wrapped his arms tighter around you. That's when you felt the vibration and subtle shaking that occurs when someone cries. He immediately opened his eyes to see you had tears running down your face.

Not wanting to startle you, as he wasn't sure if you were awake, he slowly moved you into him. Whispering quiet, "Hey, love, wake up"

In a sudden movement you were sitting up gasping for air. Hand over your chest as you try to feel your heartbeat. Took Adrian a moment to regain his thoughts from the sudden movement before sitting up next to you.

You felt his hand on your back and immediately pressed your face into his chest. As his arms wrapped around you, you felt yourself being grounded. Slowly waking up and allowing yourself to process the nightmare that just occurred.

"Love, i'm right here. Right here. You're ok. I have you" you heard the calm voice of Adrian in your ear, finally hearing something other than the pounding of your heart.

"Do you wanna talk about it" he asked as you sat up. Tears have stopped, the shaking slowed but still happening. You shook your head no, not trusting you voice to be able to work. He whispered an " ok".

You two sat for a few moments, as Adrian kept his hand on your back, helping you to stop shaking completely and have your breathing under control. The silence was loud, but needed. You needed the quiet, to help yourself organize your thoughts.

The silence was broken by Adrian speaking quietly, "i'm going to go you some water"

Your head snapped up and you said, just move a talking voice, " No"

Adrian froze in the position he was in and sat back down. He looked at you with concerned eyes. Not only did you just almost shout after being so quiet, but you looked so distraught by the idea of him leaving your presence.

He didn't want to stress you out more so he just nodded.

" Do you want to try to go back to sleep"

Once again you felt your voice gone, so you nodded, laying back down. Adrian laid next to you and brought you into his arms. Your head resting on his chest and arms wrapped around him so tight there's no way it can be comfortable for him. He probably won't get any more sleep that night if you decided to stay in this position the rest of the night.

He's ok with that though, anything for you.

So he laid there, letting you hold as tight as you need. He gently played with your hair until he felt your breathing slow and he was sure you were asleep.

Adrian didn't get much more sleep that night but you were asleep and you were calm and you were in his arms.

Everything was right.
