Rey was still running through the forest with the ring in her pocket. She paved her way through the trees and there seemed to be no end in sight. Exhausted, she stopped at a little river, where she took a moment to look at the ring.
''Don't destroy me!'' Rey heard suddenly. Rey looked confused at the ring and said: ''Huh?''
''I have value! Everyone would pay a lot for me! Please!'' The voice seemed to come out of the ring. Rey was tempted by the idea of being rich, but she knew that the ring had to be destroyed.
''I know what you're thinking, because I am an all-knowing ring. I don't see the past or the future, but I know what's happening in the present. I know that the castle where the Ball of Balls is being held is being attacked by an enormous monster right now.
Rey was doubting whether she should destroy the ring immediately or that she should use the ring to fight the monster.
''And I know what you are trying to do,'' Rey said. ''You are planting doubts in my head to bring up this situation.''
''Rey! Reeey!'' In the distance voices screamed her name.
''I don't have time for this.'' Rey started running again, away from the voices. While she ran, she thought about how to destroy the ring. She had been doing a lot of research about the ring.
''Please don't do it, Rey!'' the ring said. ''I know that I can be dangerous, but I am useful. I can tell you the temperature, if you want. It's 16 degrees celsius. That's funny, right?'' But Rey was too lost in her thoughts to notice what the ring said. Rey knew she needed a magical fire to destroy it, but she had to be able to sit still long enough to make a fire and she had to go to a place where she had all the ingredients. She had a few ingredients for the magical fire in her cabin, but she wouldn't have enough time to destroy the ring there before Miles and Taytay would know where she was and teleport there.
''You know, Rey... they have a magical fireplace in the palace...'' the ring said and Rey stood still for a moment.
''Shut up, liar.''
''I don't lie! Never! I am made that way. Honest gold. I am merely a mixture of facts of the world. Please Rey..'' the ring started making crying sounds.
''You would do everything to not be destroyed,'' Rey said irritably, before putting the ring away in her sock. Rey arrived at a signpost. It said: 'Krenn Castle 10 km'.
''Oh, fuck it...'' and so she ran towards the Krenn Castle.
