Chapter 26

Miles got tired of running quickly and when he stopped, he saw that his companions were far behind him. They would never catch up with Rey if they continued at this pace. ''Hey guys, hurry up! She can't be far!'' Miles shouted at the group.

Taytay appeared next to him and said: ''Nobody here has any stamina.''

Dean did the same and said: ''Don't you want a different outfit?''

Robert and Barbara caught up with Miles and Barbara gasped: ''I am very tired, look I have transpired.''

''What's wrong with this outfit?'' Robert and Miles asked at the same time, making Miles blush.

''You sure?'' Dean asked, with a hand on his side. He waved his wand and conjured up a new cap for Miles. There was a little rainbow on the cap and Dean whispered to Miles: ''It brings you luck...'' Dean winked while Miles accepted it.

''Thanks, buddy,'' Miles said uncomfortably.

The group walked at a tranquil pace, because nobody wanted to run anymore. After a while they encountered a signpost. It read: 'Krenn Castle 10 km'.

''Do you think she went to the castle?'' Robert asked with a worried look.

''But she wasn't invited to this Ball of Balls!'' Taytay exclaimed.

Barbara's eyes turned white and she said: ''The eternal flame will wait there for the stranger and for the ring that means danger.''

The group gave Barbara a confused look and Dean said: ''Ew, that's gross. You're making me cringe.''

Barbara's eyes turned normal again and suddenly she shouted: ''MY GOODNESS!''

Robert put a hand on Taytay's shoulder and said solemnly: ''Teleport us to the ball, my loyal subject.''

''Don't touch me,'' Taytay said, while shaking the hand from his shoulder. ''And I wouldn't know how!''

''Then we have to walk, I guess...'' Miles said.

''Just let me, Richard is still a fairy in training,'' Dean said. ''He still has to complete his mission before he gets his fairy diploma. I will bring you to the Krenn Castle. Just wait and see! Bibbidi bobbidi.. BOO!''

Dean teleported Barbara Bushtroll, Taytay the fashionista, prince Robert Krenn and Muzzy Miles to the Krenn Castle. They appeared in the dining hall, where all guests looked at Fleur, who had just chopped an enormous snake to bits.

''WHAT HAPPENED IN HERE?'' Robert asked loudly.

''Robert! Sweetie!'' Yolanda ran to him.

''If that isn't prince Robert...'' a loud voice of a gingerbread man said.

''These two monsters just attacked us and we tried to defeat hem, but the gingerbread man is still here...'' Yolanda looked from Robert to Wade, who was still standing with a sword in his hands.

''You monster!'' Wade said and he ran at Yannick. ''You will never be king of the Land of Winchats!''

Miles rolled his eyes at Yannick and asked Samantha: ''Have you maybe seen a girl with dark blonde hair and a golden ring?''

''Nope. I am mainly trying to not die right now,'' Samantha said, and she dove underneath a table.

''I think she isn't here yet,'' Taytay said, while looking around.

''What if she went somewhere else!'' Miles said, while starting to panic. ''Maybe she went to her cabin or someplace else in the Forest of Trees!''

''Are you looking for someone? I have stalker powers, if you have something that belonged to that person, I can find them!'' Charlotte said, also underneath a table.

''Nice,'' Miles said. ''We are looking for one Rey. She shouldn't be very far from here.'' He handed Charlotte Rey's bow. ''This belonged to her.''

''According to my powers... she should be... here right now?'' And on that moment, the castle doors opened dramatically and Rey emerged with the golden ring!
