Chapter 33

The campfire first turned blue, then purple, green, pink, yellow, before exploding and making everyone fly through the room.

''Miles?!'' Rey shouted through all the smoke in the basement.

Robert stood up slowly, furious.

''HOW COULD YOU DO THIS?! EVERYTHING IS RUINED!'' Robert shouted and while the smoke cleared, he saw Rey searching for something. Rey found the jar of salt and started to scatter it into a new circle.

''YOU!'' Robert stepped at Miles. ''YOU WON'T GET AWAY WITH THIS!''

Barbara Beast became extra wild because of the smoke and approached Miles and Robert. The demon grabbed Robert by his head.

Rey continued her exorcism: "Omnis congregatio et secta diabolica...'' and Miles was doubting whether or not they should help Robert.

Barbara Beast held Robert up and wanted to pull him apart slowly.

"Ergo, draco maledicte. Ecclesiam tuam securi tibi..."

Robert tried to escape from Barbara Beast's claws, but she was way too strong. Miles changed his mind about Robert. He was bad and it would maybe not be that bad if Barbara Beast would finish him here, right now, but what would he say to his parents?

''Rey, wait. If you stop Barbara now, Robert will get free... do we want that?'' Miles interrupted Rey. Rey shrugged and paused, while looking at Barbara Beast and Robert.

''I... will... be... good...'' Robert groaned. ''BUT PLEASE HELP ME!''

''I don't believe you anymore,'' Miles said, while taking off his cap to run a hand through his hair.

Taytay stood up somewhere else in the basement and saw everything happen, but watched his assignment shatter to bits. It made Taytay cry. Miles turned around and said: ''Huh, you're still here?''

Taytay swept away his tears and decided to take action. He teleported to Barbara Beast's neck and started to hit the face of the demon. And so Taytay freed Robert, but he was then thrown away by Barbara Beast. Taytay rolled over the floor, breaking the salt circle. And like that, Barbara Beast approached Rey and Miles.

''Goddammit Richard,'' Rey said, while picking up her bone and giving it to Miles as a weapon.

''Maybe time to finish your little spell...'' Miles said.

Rey continued: ''"Facias libertate servire. Te rogamus.." and Miles stabbed Barbara with the bone. The demon lashed out at Miles, but missed.

''Audi nos...'' Rey said,''...bitch.''

Barbara Beast turned back slowly into Barbara Bushtroll and said: ''My goodness! What did I miss? Did they already kiss? Oh no, I see a lot of blood, that's not very good!''

''Wait! Where is Robert?'' Miles asked while looking around in panic. Miles ran to the stairs and said: ''We don't have time! We have to find Robert.''

Taytay teleported next to the stairs and said: ''Yes!''

And so ran Miles, Rey, Taytay and Barbara Bushtroll upstairs with full confidence, without exactly knowing what was going on but knowing that Robert was bad.
