Miles encountered a little troll with light blonde curly hair on his way to the ball. This troll named Barbara Bushtroll greeted Miles: ''Hello handsome young man, look what I give you can. I have a little radish, so that you won't famish.''

'"Thanks, buddy,'' Miles responded awkwardly while he accepted the radish.

''No problem, pretty thing. Have you heard about the golden ring? There, far between the trees? Watch out, because you may freeze!'' Barbara continued. This captured Miles's attention. Miles could use some extra money, so the idea of a golden ring to sell, did not seem like a bad one.

''How far is that ring? I have to go to a ball, you know,'' Miles said indifferently.

''A thousand steps to the south to make, where a signpost you will tell which way to take,'' the forest troll rhymed.

''Chill, thanks bro,'' Miles said, but suddenly Barbara Bushtroll grabbed his hand fiercely, startling Miles. He looked straight into the eyes of the troll, which were completely white as snow. Barbara's voice lowered as she said: ''Watch out for the big snake, for your life's sake!''

''Oh shit, man,'' Miles responded. ''Ah, what do I have to lose?''

Just when Miles said this, Taytay appeared and shouted: ''NO! STOP! You have to go to the Ball of Balls!''

''Why is that so important? I think that I can buy a lot of hotdogs with that ring...'' answered Miles drooling. Miles departed early in the morning, so he had enough time to make a little detour before the ball. Also, the ball didn't seem very important to him, so the idea of a quest to find a golden ring did appeal to him. And there Miles went, full of confidence to the Forest of Trees, where the golden ring should be found. Dragging Taytay with him, who grabbed his leg.
