Dean en Yannick sat next to each other on a bench in the dining hall.
''Thank you, I am finally no longer a gingerbread man, or a slave... I am finally free!'' Yannick said, while gratefully looking at Dean. ''Long ago I lived with a smurf family in the Forest of Trees. Until one day Amy attacked our village and threatened to eat us all. I sacrificed myself and promised Amy to search food for her in exchange for the protection of my family. And after years of murder and threatening.. I lost myself.''
Dean laid a hand on Yannick's shoulder and said: ''That's over now.''
''I don't think that I will ever be the old me,'' Yannick said.
''Maybe not, but you can change into a new person. You take all your experiences with you and you learn from them,'' Dean said wisely.
''Thank you, mister Supreme Fairy.''
''Just call me Dean.''
''Okay, mister Dean.''
''Good, mister Yannick.''
They both started laughing. The rest of the dining hall was looking at the monster that suddenly had become human and now they had to pretend like everything was okay again, while people literally were eaten and wounded by him.
''Aww, you are really cute together,'' Samantha said, who sat down next to Yannick.
''I ship it,'' Charlotte said, who sat down next to Dean. Charlotte sipped her tea and said: ''Why isn't this coffee?''
''We ran out,'' Wade said, who had just grabbed a chair and sat down next to them.
''I told you a few months ago to invest in coffee more,'' Yolanda said, who sat down on Wade's lap.
Suddenly, they heard a loud voice from the basement: ''STOP!''
''What the fuck? Did Robert put a megaphone in his throat or something?'' Yolanda asked Wade.
''I think I should take a look downstairs,'' Dean said. He ran towards the basement. He didn't notice that Barbara and Yannick followed him.
