The Ball of Balls

Chapter 5

The big snake named Amy snapped at Rey and Miles, while Yannick the smurf dove into the hole to attack Taytay. Yannick bit off a little piece of Taytay's finger and Taytay screamed: ''AAAAAAAAAAH!''

Amy became paralyzed instantly by this sound that was way too high. Rey and Miles could escape because of this. Taytay stayed behind screaming and shouting in the hole with Yannick. He got scared and teleported away.

''Come with me to my cabin,'' Rey said while running, ''we are safe there.''

''I didn't think that the snakes would be so big... '' Miles mumbled, while following Rey.

When they arrived at the cabin, Miles sat down on the ground and said: ''I can't anymore!'' Suddenly, Taytay appeared on top of him.

''Jesus, Richard, can you not teleport on top of me?'' Miles said irritably.

''What is that thing around your finger?'' Rey asked while pointing at the bandage around Taytay's hand.

''That smurf bit off my finger!'' Taytay cried, while standing up.

Rey opened the door of her cabin and went inside. Miles was still on the ground, so she said: ''Are you coming in or..?''

Once they were inside, Rey offered donuts. Taytay and Miles both accepted. Rey then walked away for a moment to come back with a bow and arrows, which she gave to Miles. ''Here, to defend yourself,'' she said.

''I suddenly don't feel so good...'' Taytay said when he fell on the ground after a few bites of his donut.

''That too...'' Miles sighed. ''We could better ask for help from the supreme fairy Dean, because he is useless.'' He pointed at Taytay's unconscious body.

''No, just leave him. I put something in his donut on purpose. We are going to defeat the witch, just the two of us,'' Rey said.

''Huh, which witch?'' Miles asked, while he was staring at the fairy on the ground with a confused look.

''I am assuming that you are looking for a golden ring? Why else would you be wandering in the Forest of Trees? People don't come here quickly, unless they are looking for something or someone,'' Rey said.

''Ehm...'' Miles started doubtfully, not knowing whether or not he wanted to trust Rey with the information. But Rey did just save his life, so he decided to tell her: ''Yes, I encountered a troll who told me about a valuable golden ring.''

''Okay, well, there is a witch. If I'm right, she has a map to the location of the ring. I have been looking for it for a long time...'' Rey said, before adding: ''Do you want to look for it together?''

''Okay. Let's go!'' Miles said and he walked out of the cabin with Rey, with full confidence.
