Chapter 46

The group walked down the stairs towards the ballroom. Taytay, clumsiness himself, tripped and fell down a couple of stairs. He teleported himself up, but missed a step, so he fell down again. Charlotte tried to help, but Taytay pushed her hand away, because he was too afraid of her.

''Are we almost there yet?'' Samantha said, panting. ''This castle seems to be getting bigger.''

''Almost,'' Robert said. ''But sometimes the halls and stairs move, making the castle seem bigger. We are now downstairs. Look, a few steps to go.''

''I think I see the doors of the ballroom!'' Miles said and he sprinted towards them. Out of nothing the wider knight appeared, pushed Miles against the wall and shouted to another: ''Hey! Is this the forest troll?''

''Dude, get off me!'' Miles said, while trying to get free.

''Don't touch him!'' Robert shouted, before hitting Mark in the face. Mark fell on the ground and Robert jumped on top of him.

Lewis arrived with a glass of wine in his hand and when Charlotte saw that she asked for a sip. ''No biatch, I-" before Lewis could finish his sentence, Samantha hit him and said: ''Nobody talks to my bestie like that!''

''Hmm... I like you...'' Lewis said, while grabbing a new bottle of wine from his chestplate to fill up his glass.

''What assignment did my father give you?'' Robert asked Mark.

''We're looking for a troll,'' Mark said, while still being crushed on the ground.

''Why?'' Robert asked angrily.

''I know why...'' Rey said, but while she looked back to Barbara, she was pushed aside by Jacob.

''I have her!'' Jacob shouted, who had jumped Barbara Bushtroll. Rey tackled Jacob and shouted to Dean: ''Protect Barbara!''

Dean made a big soap bubble around Barbara.

''Wait a minute... Barbara has a second golden ring... And Wade wants to steal it!'' Miles realized.

''Wow, aren't you quick on the uptake?'' Rey said, while standing up and hitting Jacob on his head.

''Huh? I don't get it,'' Charlotte said, a little bit tipsy because of a few gulps of wine.

''Barbara possesses a golden ring and Wade wants to have that of course. He must have talked to the Oracle before we did,'' Rey said and meanwhile Jacob lay unconscious before her feet.

Robert got off him, but Mark kept lying on the ground and said: ''You know, I'll just stay here for a moment. I am tired.''

''I want to finish this all!'' Robert said and he walked towards the ballroom doors. Robert threw the doors open and there he stood, in the middle of the ballroom: king Wade.

''There you are...''
