It's now Saturday, the day of the party. I'm currently working in my father's garage. My father fixes cars in his own garage. He started when he was twenty-three, right after studying law in university.

He is actually a lawyer, but fixing cars has always been one of his favorite things to do. He started his own garage as a hobby. When I was very little, he started teaching me everything about cars and motorcycles, just like he taught my brothers. Now, I work here during the weekends, mostly because it's my hobby, but also because it's a thing I have with my father. Our father-daughter thing.

I've been working here on my free Saturdays and Sundays for a couple of years now. I started when I was fourteen, I think. I don't get paid, though. I just help my dad with the business.

"Amelia, can you check the back for the engine parts this man was talking about?" My dad is standing behind the front desk, still talking to a customer. The customer is a college student and a motor driver. He has golden blonde messy hair, and he's wearing a black leather jacket. He has got his helmet in his hands, and he smiles at me.

"Yeah, sure. I'll be right back." I say while walking towards the back door. The storage is right behind that door. I check my phone for messages from Emily.

Tonight is the party of Cameron and Jackson. Emily has been so excited to go since I told her about Hunter inviting me. I don't really feel like going, but I already agreed to go. I don't feel like bumping into Caine again. I know he's going to attend the party as well, as he always goes to these kinds of parties.

I'm a completely different story. I don't like going to parties, mostly because I hate crowded places. I don't feel comfortable around crowded places, and I definitely don't feel comfortable around crowded places when people are drunk. That's why I usually avoid going to parties. Not being invited is a huge help.

I need to be at Emily's place by seven, so we can get ready for the party. I sleep at Emily's tonight. I don't know until how long I'll stay at the party, and I'm not taking a train so late at night.

I search for the right engine part on the computer, which is standing in the little office at the beginning of the storage. The computer keeps a record of the supplies we have, so we don't have to walk around looking for them in the storage.

"We still have two parts, but we'll soon have to order more," I tell my dad when I get back from the storage. My arms lean on the desk, and I take a sip from my water bottle.

This morning has been very busy. A lot of customers come and go, and the to-do list becomes bigger every minute. We'll have a lot to do next week, but it's good for business though.

The bell rings softly, giving away that another customer walked in. He wasn't exactly walking, more like stumbling, actually. He has a painful look on his face, and there is a big fresh cut above his eyebrow. There is dropping blood from his hands on the floor, and he covers the right side of his face with one of his hands. Some of his clothes are broken, and he seems to have crashed with his vehicle.

He's wearing a motorcycle jacket, a dark grey shirt, and black ripped jeans. His hair is messy and dirty, just like his clothes.

"Hey, what happened to you?" I walk over to him and frown when I see how bad his wounds look. When I notice the ice-blue color of his eyes, I realize it's Caine. Caine is standing here in the garage, badly wounded. What happened to him? It's the only thought running through my mind.

He groans painfully, and I grab his left hand. Electricity runs through my body, and a warm feeling develops in my stomach. There is a strange tension between us again, but I ignore it. His hand is warm and extremely soft. They're big and strong but surprisingly soft.
