"Do you have the paint for my room? Or is it still in the car?" I ask my mom, walking down the stairs of our new house. We're moving in today after two weeks of working on the house, and I've been excited to move for weeks. I loved our old house so much as it holds all our memories and stories, but I think it's time to make new memories and stories in this new house.
My parents bought a house in an entirely different style. They bought a victorian style house in one of the streets close by Emily. They looked at it earlier this year, but they were not sure if we were going to move back then. They weren't sure if I was okay with moving closer to the city because I loved the house where we used to live. Luckily, the house was still for sale.
Anyway, I was down for it right away when they told me. Of course, I would leave the house behind, but I think it was time for some changes in my life. We discussed everything together, and we agreed on many things, like having enough bedrooms for my brothers and me to sleep over once I head off to college. We also wanted enough space in the garden because my mom has been thinking about getting a dog.
She wants to be more outside, and she has always wanted a dog. She said she was going to work fewer hours to have more time for herself and maybe a dog. My dad thought it was a good idea, and he has secretly been looking for a Golden Retriever puppy for her. We're both thinking about giving her a puppy for her birthday in May. Until then, we all have the time to get used to the house and finish decorating it completely.
"Yeah, I think dad left it in the trunk. Be careful though, it's an expensive can of paint, and I don't want you to drop it. I'm not driving all around town again to get you the dark green color you want for your walls." My mom says, bringing a box with tableware to the spacious kitchen.
I walk outside and walk over to my father's car, which is parked in the driveway. My room is the only room left that needs a lick of paint. It's kind of my own fault because I was being very indecisive about the color I wanted. I couldn't decide between the colors until the last minute, which was kind of annoying for my mom.
I see Caine's car pull up in the driveway, and Caine parks his Audi right behind my dad's car. I invited him, Emily, and the boys over to help me paint and decorate my room. It's probably going to take the whole, but we'll have lots of fun doing it.
"Hey, thanks for letting us be here so early. It's not even nine yet. I'm surprised you got out of bed already, who woke you up?" Caine says, looking at the big new house. His hair is messy as always, and his strong back muscles are clearly visible through the thin sweater he's wearing.
"My mom woke me up. The movers were at my house at seven-thirty to move everything. They were done pretty quickly since my parents got rid of a lot of stuff. They wanted to completely start over which included buying new furniture." I shrug my shoulders and grab the can with dark green wall paint from the trunk.
"It's official now. You're moving closer to town and me, and I can't help but be so excited to have more sleepovers at your house. Can I see your room?" Caine says, taking the can of paint from me. I lead him to the front door, opening it slowly for an exciting effect.
"Welcome to residence White." I chuckle softly, and Caine follows me. "By the way, you're not sleeping over if you're not helping me. How late are the boys going to be here? Emily said she was going to be here by eleven, but I suppose we could say she will be here by twelve." I say, walking upstairs to show Caine my new room.
My room is a lot bigger than my other room, and I can't wait to decorate it. My parents let me buy a lot of new stuff, including a whole new bed. My old one kind of broke because Caine and I had a little too rough sex. It was annoying, but we could laugh about it though.
