Under your skin
Feel my blood flow with yours
My heart beat with yours
Sharing this body as one
Save me as I save you
This skin holds enough room for two
Under my skin
I belong with you
As you belong with me

"You made it!"
Xavier stepped in the house and wrapped his arms around me.
"Of course I made it. Tía and Tío said Merry Christmas. And so did Havana. She even made you a gift, that I have brought. Along with mine."
He kissed my cheek before letting me go and heading for the kitchen.
"Mama T!"
"Xavi!"
He put down the gifts by the tree and went into the kitchen to hug my mom. I loved how much he was accepted. It's like he was part of my family.
"How's Hailey?"
"She good, she sends her seasons wishes. She said we should all do something for New Years at the house."
My mom smiled and nodded.
"Of course. Just tell me what time and what to bring."
I walked in the kitchen and snaked my arm into Xaviers.
"Oh, Hayden don't forget to FaceTime your dad."
I snapped my fingers and grabbed my phone.
"I knew I was forgetting something!"
I dragged Xavier over to the couch and we sat down as I dialed my dad. It was still early in the afternoon so, I hoped he could answer for a quick second.
"Merry Christmas!"
"Hi daddy! Merry Christmas."
"Hey Xavier! Merry Christmas my boy."
"Merry Christmas to you sir."
I cut in.
"Anything happening on the base?"
"We had a little gift exchange nothing major. Soldier gifts if you will. But...I did get you and your moms gift. I love it."
"I'm glad."
Xavier questioned. "What was it?"
"I'll show you. Hold on."
We watched as my dad put down his phone and we could hear him rummaging around. He came back into view with a smile on his face.
"This is a Rolex from1943 and it was my grandfathers. Those two over there got it worked on and all polished up for me."
Xavier smiled. "That's dope."
"Ain't it. Hayden you know your mom gave me a gift of her own?"
