I couldn't help but stare at them as they slept. They were unbelievable. Unbelievable in the sense that I couldn't believe they were here, that they were mine. Ours.
"Hey mamas."
Xavier said as he came in the room, snaking his arm around my waist and kissing my cheek.
"Hi baby. How's the packing up?"
"It's all good. Figured all the stuff from the shower we'd get boxed up first. Ya dad, said we can leave it all in the garage, that way when it's time to go, I just gotta put it in the Uhaul."
He rested his head in my neck and joined me looking down at Sofya and Xaden.
"Thank you." I mumbled out to him.
"For what?"
"You gave me something I never thought it could have. It still feels unreal."
He squeezed me tighter and I felt him lay a kiss on my cheek again.
"It's real baby. And it's perfect."
I smiled and rested into him. My phone buzzed in my pocket and I reached around to grab it out my back pocket.
"Watch them hands for we make another pair."
I laughed at Xavier before booty bumping him off of me.
"Keep your sperm to yourself."
I answered the call and pressed my phone to my ear.
"Hello?"
"Hayden!" I heard Genevieve yell into my ear. I laughed.
"Hi Gen."
"Girl, not me showing up late to the shower just to find out you went into early labor! Are you back home sweetie?"
"Yea, we came home last night."
"Well praise the Lawd. How are they? I bet they're the cutest things."
"Here, I'll FaceTime you."
I pulled my phone from my ear and pressed the button to convert the call to FaceTime.
She answered immediately and I flipped the camera down at the cradle.
"Oh my gooood." She whisper yelled. I laughed knowing she was trying not to be too loud because they were sleeping.
Xavier walked back by my side and looked at the phone screen.
