"Who is he? What does he want?" Hannah's head spun.
Five more people appeared at Yale's side, all male. They all looked about the same age as him.
Yale's fist shot out, but thank God, Sehun dodged to the right. Yale looked like he was about to blow; Hannah had to do something.
"Hey, Sehun, I just remembered that... our date? Later tonight? I, uh, reservations!" Hannah burst, gripping his sleeve tightly.
Sehun looked at her skeptically. "Date? Reservations?"
Yale paused and watched them. Suddenly, he burst into laughter. He crouched over, clutching his stomach. On cue, the five others behind him begin to laugh along with him.
"She's your girl? I didn't know that your taste in woman was this bad!" Yale howled, his five groupies smirking in agreement.
Hannah's jaw dropped slightly and shifted to the side. She didn't let him get to her, thankfully. She had Sehun to worry about.
Sehun looked outraged. "You little-"
"Come here," Hannah scowled, dragging him away. She ignored Yale's calls and Sehun's strew of profanities.
"Will you calm down?" Hannah hissed at him, finally releasing her grip on his jacket.
Sehun shoved her hand away. "I was calm! That... dick, Duke!" He looked over his shoulder and scowled again.
Hannah shook her head and took a deep breath. She checked the time and saw that the competition would be starting soon; she had to go.
"Sehun, please. Don't do anything stupid. Go get ready, you're about to start." Hannah quickly hugged him and whispered in his ear, "The studio, Sehun."
Sehun sighed. He left her without saying anything else.

Hannah made her way back to her seat. Luhan watched her as she returned.
"What happened? You look-"
"Fine. It's fine."
Luhan nodded and took her hand into his own. She bit her lip and waited for the show to start.
The lights dimmed, and huge beams of lights hit the stage. The crowd erupted into wild cheers as a man dressed in a white suit and bright blue hair walked out.
"Los Angeles!" The man shouted into his microphone, making the crowd scream louder. "I'm your host, Victor Fore! Let's hear it for our judges tonight! Shall we start?"
The audience howled for the show to begin. Victor bowed and introduced the judges. Then, the show began.
~
As more pairs performed, Hannah began to feel nervous. She couldn't lie; they were so much better than Sehun and Lay. She hated admitting it, but it was true. She hoped that he would...
The crowd was going crazy. Most were jumping up and down; one girl in the front threw her bra on stage.
Luhan laughed and nudged Hannah. He said something, but she couldn't hear him.
"Fantastic! Fabulous!" Victor shouted, clapping. "Now for our favorite veterans, Duke and Duchess Yale!"
Despite the crowds wild enthusiasm, Hannah grimaced. "Duke and Duchess? Really?"
The siblings took the stage and wasted no time in beginning their dance.
Hannah couldn't watch. They were so good.
Duchess slid on the ground as Duke flipped over her. He spun her, lifted her. They were in perfect sync and their moves looked incredibly complex. They looked good.
When they finished, the crowd went insane. Hannah glanced over at her friends and saw the concern on their faces. She knew that they were all thinking of the boys. How were they going to top that?
Victor took the stage again. "Wow! Just, wow! The perfect family duo! Bravo!" Hannah groaned inwardly. "Next up is... would you look at this! The loved underdogs, Sehun and Lay!"
Hannah's eyes widened. "Underdogs? They're the underdogs?!" Oh no.
Sehun walked on stage, alone. Lay then walked on stage from the opposite side. They both kept walking, but when they slightly passed each other, they froze and popped their bodies to two loud gunshots in the background. Then the beat dropped so low, it reached China, and the crowd lost it.
A smile climbed onto Hannah's face as she witnessed how fierce they both were.
They were powerful; they were dominant. Lay took fake swings at Sehun with his hands, and Sehun bent down backwards, evading each blow. Lay did a backwards kick at Sehun's legs and then flipped into the air. Sehun jumped up from his painful looking position and also did a flip. The two began to do identical breakdancing moves in sync.
Hannah winced slightly when she saw that Sehun was just a tiny, tiny bit off sync.
When their part ended, the crowd screamed their approval and roared for more.
They did great. They did so great.
Victor ran onstage and did a fake slip, to make the crowd laugh. "The underdogs! That was simply amazing! Fantastic job, you two!"
More pairs performed; Hannah watched intently. They were all good. If she wasn't so biased towards Sehun and Lay, she would be absolutely torn with the choices.
But like all things, the preliminaries came to an end. Victor showed himself again.
"That was the preliminaries, folks! Let's take a quick break as the judges pick 50 pairs to advanced to the middle part of the competition!" Victor's voice was suddenly serious. "Remember, dancers: the middle part is crucial. There must be no mistakes."
Hannah sat back, chewing her bottom lip.
She feared for the results.
