Hannah didn't go to school the next morning. She was "sick".
Mal was dubious, but was running late for work so she didn't have much say.
Hannah spent most of the morning watching Netflix (Mean Girls) and on Tumblr.
She checked her mail and saw that she had one new email from Mrs. Misaki.
"'Hello, Hannah. We missed you today'," the email read,
"'I hope you're well, and the homework for tonight is attached. See you tomorrow!
P.S, Sehun informed me about your project. It sounds fabulous!'."
Hannah rolled her eyes, but couldn't help but smile. Then, reluctantly, she began to do her homework.
It was fairly simple, so Hannah had no problems. She just couldn't seem to focus. Her mind kept wandering to Sehun. She wondered what he did today and who he talked to.
"Why do you care, Hannah," Hannah scolded herself.
Finally, she shut her mint green MacBook down and placed it on the coffee table. She lay down on the couch for a moment, her eyes heavy. Sleepiness was slowly pulling her under...
BANGBANGBANG.
Hannah's eyes flew open, startled.
BANGBANGBANG.
The banging was coming from the front door. Hannah glanced at the clock. She had been asleep for 2 hours, but it was still far too early for her aunt to be home from work, and school wasn't out yet, so it couldn't have been Sehun or Luhan or any of her other friends.
BANGBANGBANG.
The pounding on the door became louder and harder. The door's hinges were practically shaking; Hannah wasn't sure if they would withstand.
Slowly, Hannah got up from the couch and tiptoed to the kitchen. She grabbed a medium sized pan that was hanging from it's hook.
"What the hell," she scowled silently. If she was going to be robbed, she would at least fight back.
Then, she quietly strode to the door, her breath hitching making her pant uncontrollably.
She gripped the pan's handle tightly. She was not going lose anything else to a robber.
Not again.
Hannah wrapped her fingers around the door handle, ready to pounce. Hesitantly, she peeked through the eyehole, only to find it covered by something on the outside.
So, before Hannah lost her idiotic confidence, she threw the door open and raised the pan.
It was dark and raining outside. The depressing weather masked the dark figure well.
Hannah let out a high pitched scream and swung the pan to the stranger's shoulder, making successful contact.
The cloaked in darkness dude screamed an equally high pitched scream. His arms flew to his head to protect it.
Hannah caught a glimpse of his eyes; they were a warm brown shade, like milk chocolate melting. His eyes had every emotion from confusion to pain.
Hannah lifted the pan again, but this time the stranger cried out, "Wait!"
Hannah didn't wait, instead, she brought the pan down again. Unfortunately for her, the stranger dodged the pan and dove for Hannah.
The two of them burst through the door and landed on the hard wooden floors.
"Well, crap," Hannah grimaced to herself, absolutely terrified, "Goodbye, world."
She struggled from underneath the stranger, who had pinned her down.
"Hannah! What the actual hell!" The stranger said loudly, pure disbelief in his voice.
Hannah stopped struggling. How did he know her name, she thought.
The stranger brought his hand to his hood and yanked it back, revealing a very familiar face.
"SEHUN!" Hannah shrieked.
Sehun pretended to wring Hannah's neck and then exploded into a laughing fit.
Hannah didn't think it was funny at all, but Sehun laughing brought a grin to her lips. Soon, she was laughing as hard as he was.
Sehun had collapsed on top of Hannah, still laughing. Hannah didn't mind his body crushing hers.
"Oh my God, you almost killed me. With a pan," Sehun gasped for air.
Hannah stopped laughing. All emotions wiped off of her face as she mumbled a quiet, "Sorry."
Sehun noticed and almost asked her what was wrong, but decided against it. He would ask her later.
Sehun got off of Hannah and helped her up.
"What are you doing here?" Hannah asked him, to ease the screaming silence.
"School was becoming boring, so I left," Sehun shrugged, as if it wasn't a big deal.
Hannah's jaw dropped and she roughly shoved Sehun towards the door.
"Leave!" She exclaimed, "Go back to school! You're going to end up with a crappy job that only pays minimum wage in the future!"
Sehun laughed at this. He pointed to the clock on the wall.
"It's okay," he laughed, "I only missed Physical Ed. and school's out, anyway."
Hannah crossed her arms. "Still," she argued, "Skipping school is stupid, stupid."
Sehun rolled his eyes and walked pass Hannah, to the dining room.
"We'll be working on the History project. Who cares?" Sehun called, not looking back.
Hannah stuck her tongue out at his back. Then she shook her head and went to close the door.
She didn't want Sehun in her house right now.
"I'm going to have to tell him," she thought suddenly, "He saw my change of expression. I'm going to have to explain why I attacked."
Hannah sighed, not looking forward to the explanation.
"We'll be working on the project," she assured herself, "What could go wrong?"
It's as if God immediately changed her fate, because something went wrong.
Oh yeah, something happened.
And it wasn't too pretty.
