Sehun and Hannah finished their breakfast in silence with only occasional remarks shared.
When they were finished, Sehun drove Hannah home and bid her good-bye. He had decided that Hannah wanted to be alone for a while.
Hannah watched Sehun's car as he drove off, and when she was sure that she was out of his sight, Hannah turned around and headed to the park.
The breeze was light; it tickled whatever skin Hannah had exposed. Clouds covered the sky and hid the sun.
Hannah's walk was heavy, clumsy. She kept tripping over cracks and uneven pavement. Her chin was nuzzled inside the head opening of her black windbreaker, her hands balled up her sleeves in her fists, and they were constantly aimlessly hitting her thighs. She liked the scratching noise the smooth fabric of the windbreaker made when it grazed the surface of her dark blue denim jeans.
Hannah clomped onto the grass, upsetting the dewdrops. She stalked over to the swing sets and sat down, gently pushing herself back.
She glanced at the joggers, and then to the mothers sitting on benches. Finally, her eyes rested on the few children running around, playing their games.
A little boy with choppy and dirty blonde hair chased a little girl with jet black hair that was in two braids up a slide and back down again.
Hannah smiled ruefully at the pair; they were so carefree and without a doubt in the world.
Hannah watched the children some more, until the little girl saw her watching them. The girl had stopped so abruptly that the boy had crashed into her, knocking them both over.
Hannah stood up and was about to run over, when the two started laughing. They helped each other up and even brushed each other's backs off. Then, they both waved happily at Hannah and ran off.
Hannah grinned and waved back, fully aware that they weren't watching. She went back to her swing only to find it occupied.
"That's my swing, Luhan," Hannah pouted, jokingly.
Luhan smiled at her and shook his head. Hannah sighed and sat on the swing next to her original.
Luhan and Hannah swung back and forth in silence for a few moments until Hannah broke the silence.
"So what brings you to the park?" Hannah suddenly blurted out.
Luhan laughed. "Probably the same reason why you're at the park yourself."
"Are you telling me that you're also feeling depressed because of boy problems."
Luhan laughed harder at this, nearly falling off the swing. Hannah began to giggle with him.
Luhan wiped his eyes and chuckled, "No, I'm not, actually." Then he looked at Hannah with concern in his eyes.
Hannah's heart fluttered and her stomach leapt. She shyly looked away from his gaze.
"Is there something going on between you and Sehun?" Luhan asked her kindly.
"No. There is no 'Me and Sehun'," Hannah said sharply.
Luhan raised his eyebrows quizzically at her, but kept his mouth shut. He was dying to ask her a million questions.
But, what he asked was, "Well, are you okay?"
Hannah sighed and nodded half-heartedly.
Luhan wasn't convinced. He stood up from his swing, walked over, and stood in front of Hannah. Then, he draped his lean arms around her shoulders and pulled her in close.
Hannah didn't stop him like the way she stopped Sehun when he tried to touch her. She welcomed Luhan's embrace.
Hannah pressed her forehead against Luhan's strong chest and closed her eyes.
"This feels right," Hannah thought.
The longer Luhan held her, all of Hannah's worries and cares slowly shed away.
But Hannah was the first to break the embrace.
Luhan smiled at her and squeezed her cheek.
"You're so cute," Luhan chuckled.
Hannah laughed loudly and swatted at his hand.
Luhan let go and was about to tell Hannah something when someone called his name.
"Lu-ge!" A voice shouted from the other side of the playground, next to the soccer fields.
Hannah turned to the shout and found Xiumin waving at them. Chanyeol, Lay, Suho, and Baekhyun were there, kicking a soccer ball around.
"We're about to start!" Xiumin called, "Come on, we'll start without you! Hi, Hannah!"
Hannah meekly waved back. She knew Xiumin; he was on the soccer team and was pretty popular among the jock crowd at school. But, he was kind. Hannah liked that about him.
Luhan sighed jokingly. He lightly pinched Hannah's nose and said goodbye.
Hannah watched him as he jogged off. When he began playing with the others, Hannah stood up to leave.
While Hannah was walking home, she thought about what had happened between she and Luhan, and grimaced.
Hannah had gone to the park to clear her thoughts, not to make them more complicated.
Hannah Smith knew that she was falling for Luhan.
But...who should she choose? Oh Sehun or Luhan?
"I guess whoever wins me first," Hannah mumbled, still not sure of her feelings.
