This time, a pair Hannah didn't know glided into the stage. Their moves were forceful, very powerful.

The next pair was from another team. So was the next. And the next, and the next.

Luhan worried about Sehun. Had he gotten into trouble?

Tao was patient. He knew Lay would keep Sehun safe.

Arlene hung onto Kris, both of them watching the duos intently. They refused to speak to anyone.

Finally, a familiar face showed to perform: Duke.

Duke and Duchess began their routine, which was really good. They were in perfect sync with each other and with the music. Hannah caught herself nodding her head back and forth to the beat, once.

After their act ended, another pair performed.

Then it were the underdogs.

There was a huge gray screen in the middle on the stage, and when the lights dimmed, there were still lights facing towards it.

Sehun appeared first; shortly after, Lay showed as well. Sehun went in front of the screen while Lay went behind.

The music was graceful and emotionally moving.

There were a lot of aerial tricks, like Sehun doing front or back flips, and whatever he did, Lay copied. They were spaced out, and the lighting exactly right so Lay looked like... Sehun's shadow.

They switched places so Sehun was Lay's shadow. There were less aerial tricks, but a lot of body popping. With each spin, each tumble, and each gliding motion, Sehun was in perfect shadow harmony. Lay looked so smooth and elegant; his movements silk like.

When their performance ended, there was no applause.

The audience stared at them with silent awe. It was so different. Most of the performances were hardcore, and upbeat. Well this one, was a more beautiful type of hardcore. It was so refreshing that the audience didn't know how to react.

So eventually, they burst into wild cheers.

Pride welled up in Hannah's chest. Luhan grinned at her, as if to say, "We've won this."

They have. They definitely have.

"Nice job out there," Sehun slapped Lay on the back.

Lay smiled at him, flashing his dimple. "Thanks and you too."

They left their man-pride and hugged.

In a hushed and tired whisper, Sehun asked him, "Do you think it was enough to win?"

He didn't get a response immediately. Finally, Lay said, "Whatever the result is, I'm proud to call you my partner. I'm just saying this because I know how bad you want this, and if we don't win it, I don't want you to be hurt."

"No matter how prepared I am, it's going to hurt if we lose, Lay," Sehun replied.

He felt a tapping on his shoulder. It was Duchess.

She seemed flustered. "If you're both done, I just wanted to say sorry about Duke. He's an ass, and he needs to learn how to accept defeat," she paused. "And I'm supposed to hate you for some reason, but I think you guys are amazing. Bye."

The boys stared at her as she hurried away. Then, they burst into laughter.

Lay grinned at Sehun again. Together, they waited for the final results.
