Hannah was just absolutely miserable the rest of the day. She hated everything and everyone.
"I don't like you," she sang, "Or you, or you, or you!"
"Hannah!" Someone called from behind.
"What?" She scowled, whipping around.
She smacked into that person, probably busting her lip.
"Watch where you're going," she growled, clutching her throbbing jaw.
She looked up at the guy. It was Kris.
Hannah sighed, and let go of her face. "What is it, Kris?"
Kris smiled apologetically. "Arlene was wondering if you wanted to go to the mall with us. She would have asked you herself, but you're in an awful mood."
"Who's 'us'?" Hannah asked, cocking an eyebrow.
"Me. Arlene. Tao," Kris paused.
"Is that all?" Hannah pounced again.
"Yeah. You in or what?"
Hannah shrugged and surged forward, pass Kris, to the front doors. "Yes."
~
"You actually got her to come!" Arlene squealed with delight when she saw Hannah and Kris walk through the front doors.
"I broke my jaw in the process, but that's cool," Hannah scowled, crossing her arms.
Arlene rolled her eyes in a "whatever" way. She began talking to Kris and Tao, asking them who was going to drive.
Hannah tuned out, and her eyes began to wander around. She witnessed students clustered in small and large groups having happy chitchat. She saw Sehun, suddenly, talking to a girl with brown to blonde ombré hair.
She looked like a cheerleader, hip popped to the side and making constant sassy hand gestures.
Sehun seemed to be bored, like he wanted to leave the cheerleader or couldn't care less about what she had to say.
It was a different story when he spotted Hannah staring intently at him. Sehun was then very interested in what cheerleader had to say. He inched closer to her, placing a hand on her shoulder.
Hannah bit her bottom lip and looked away. "What a jerk," she sniffed indignantly.
Arlene saw where Hannah was looking and scowled. She crossed her arms and whirled to face Hannah.
"Get over him. He wasn't worth it, anyway. I'll find you another guy," Arlene spat in anger towards Sehun.
Hannah decided that Arlene wasn't thinking clearly and her words weren't being filtered at the moment. Of course he was worth it...
"Right?" Hannah asked herself.
Arlene turned away and called out, "Luhan! Luhan, come over here!"
Hannah's blood froze. She didn't want to see him. At. All.
Nevertheless, Luhan strode over. "Yes?" He greeted everyone.
"We're going to the mall. Wanna come?" Arlene smiled at him.
Kris cleared his throat. Tao looked away, scratching the back of his neck. Hannah closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
When she opened them again, she saw Luhan grinning at her.
"Sorry," he mouthed.
"I don't think Hannah wants me to. We had a problem, you see," he said out loud.
"He knows!" Hannah screamed silently.
Arlene frowned at them. "Oh, well, okay then-"
"No," Hannah cut in. Everyone stared at her.
She looked at her feet. "Luhan, please come. It'll be fun, just the five of us."
The corner of Luhan mouth twitched. "Well, if you insist."
Tao sighed, which sounded more like a groan really.
"Same, Tao," Kris murmured. "They're judging going to make things worse."
Hannah looked over her shoulder and shot them both a disapproving glance.
She turned back and saw Luhan peek over in Sehun's direction and smirk at him.
"You're both children," she muttered under her breath and broke away from the group to Kris's car.
