Denki, Don't Do This Please

I Am Not Your Sweetheart

There was some kind of smoke or gas filling the air and making it hard to breathe. Ten minutes ago Y/N had just entered the woods with Momo for the test of courage. Everything was going normal until these fumes had filled the air. They didn't know where the gas was coming from and even worse Y/N doesn't know if it's flammable or not. If she was attacked and needed to create some fireballs she wasn't sure if the gas would ignite, and even if it wasn't flammable she could start a forest fire that might spread quickly hurting others. She felt it was best to not risk it. She'd rather not try out Bakugo's explosion quirk and more importantly, she doesn't want to endanger anyone.

The gas was starting to make her feel woozy, but thankfully Momo being the goddess she was created gas masks. Y/N took the straps and placed them over her head. After she placed the mask on she could hear Mandalay from the Pussycats relaying a message.

"Everyone! Two villains attacked us. It's possible there are more coming. Everyone return to camp immediately. We're regrouping. Do not engage with the enemies!"

This announcement made Y/N cringe. It was bad enough they were dealing with this gas, but they weren't allowed to fight. Y/N looked over to the classmates that were passed out on the ground and saw that Momo, Aoyama, and Awase from 1-B were still standing.

"We need to try and get them back to camp. I know you gave Tetsu Tetsu some masks before he ran off. Do you still have some in case we run into anyone else we know?" Y/N asks.

Momo reached down and grab a few masks and hands them to Y/N.

"Yeah, I can make more if we need them. I'm going to go and try to find the others to give these out. You and Aoyama should work on getting the others that are here back."

Y/N then looks over to Awase he had been with Tetsu Tetsu from earlier and decided to stay and help them.

"I'll stay with Yaorozu so she isn't alone."

Y/N nods her head in agreement and looks over to Aoyama. She can see that he's terrified and on the verge of a breakdown. He's not going to be helpful if she doesn't get him to settle down.

Y/N watches Momo and Awase take off into the woods. She was silently praying that nothing happened to them. She was also worried about how everyone else was doing. In particular, she was concerned about Denki, but she knew he was back at the camp with all the pros. That was at least somewhat comforting. As they continued on they receive a new message from Mandalay.

"Everyone in class A and B! In the name of the pro-hero Eraserhead use your training. You may fight these villains."

Aoyama looks over to Y/N and he's practically in tears at this point.

"This must be bad," Y/N states.

She walks over to Aoyama who is sitting behind a bush cowering. She crouches down next to him and places a hand on his shoulder for comfort.

"I won't make you move right now, but at some point, we need to focus on getting them back to camp."

Aoyama looks at her and nods his head trying to seem more confident, but Y/N can see his lip quivering in fear. She decides to give him a few more minutes to collect himself when they receive another message from Mandalay.

"Listen, we've discovered two of the targets. It's two students named Kachaan and Y/N. Kachan and Y/N should avoid combat and stick to a group. I hope you can hear me."

Y/N's eyes widen and she could feel her heart beating. They wanted her? Why? Aoyama can see the panic in her eyes. He then realizes how brave Y/N had been acting up to this point. The mention of her name had broken down her wall. It was his turn to reach out a hand to her shoulder and calm her down.
