Denki started to think about the various girls in his class. He has built his personality as someone who isn't the brightest and isn't above trying to be a fuck boy. He was better looking than Mineta, but in terms of how he acted around girls wasn't that big of a difference. This could make getting a steady girlfriend a difficult task. He also needed someone who wouldn't easily catch on to his double life. He thought about the girls in his class and started going through the list.

Hagakure would be ideal when it came to not catching on, but her invisibility quirk would pose too big of a risk. Yaoyorozu and Jirou hate his personality and would never give him the time of day. They are also too clever to be that close to him. Not to mention Jirou's quirk could be a real issue if she grew suspicious. Uraraka isn't someone he knows very well, and while she would be a good candidate, she seems to be smitten with Midoryia in an obvious way. Mina would be an obvious choice as they have the same friends, but her personality is too loud for his personal preference. Denki also recognizes that he may not be Mina's type since he is a guy.

That would leave Tsu and Y/N which are both good candidates. Both are people that would mesh well with his fake persona. They also haven't completely written him off as a disgusting pervert. Their quirks also don't raise an alarm. Tsu has the attributes of a frog while Y/N can create fireballs. Neither of which would allow them to closely monitor him if they felt they needed to. The question then becomes which one?

Denki was in the library working on his homework with Kirishima. He needed to grab a book for an essay and made his way to the stacks. As he rounded the corner, he saw a h/c haired girl with e/c eyes trying to reach a book on a shelf higher than she could reach. She was trying to jump and reach the book but almost fell in the process. Denki smirked to himself. His question from before had been answered by fate it seemed.

"Need some help there, beautiful?" Denki said with the same smirk on his face as before.

Y/N sighed at the boy recognizing the voice instantly. She did indeed need his help, but why did he have to say beautiful? Why can't he just be sincere? Regardless, she still needed the book that was out of reach.

"Yeah, can you please grab that book? I seem to be vertically challenged at the moment."

"I'd do anything for you, Sunshine." Denki continued not taking his eyes off the girl in front of him. He handed the book to Y/N and studied her. She was pretty and her e/c eyes sparkled as the light hit them. He could see a slight annoyance on her face and wondered if he was coming on too strong.

"Kaminari, why do you do that?" Y/N questioned snapping him out of his observations.

"Do what? Try to help out a classmate?" The straw-colored blonde asked.

"No, I mean adding beautiful and sunshine when talking to a girl. Wouldn't it be more meaningful if you only said it to those who you thought the compliment applied to?" Y/N stared at Kaminari studying his face after her statement. She was unable to decipher what else he might be thinking, and he still had a smile as he answered her question.

"I do give out a lot of compliments, but it doesn't mean that I'm not sincere. Women are all different from each other, and they all have different qualities that make them beautiful. Can I not appreciate the various types of beauty that exist in this world?" He replied confidently making sure to keep eye contact with the girl in front of him.

Y/N was taken off guard by this comment. She never thought of it from that point of view. Maybe there was more to Kaminari than she had previously thought. He was often funny with his comments and never seemed to be the brightest with schoolwork. Y/N did however believe that there was more to Kaminari than most, like Bakugo, give him credit for. She has often thought his street smarts were where his strengths lie, and this conversation seems to be proving her theory.

"Kaminari, I can't argue with your logic. It seems I've underestimated you." Y/N replied with a soft smile.

"Well, if that's the case then maybe we could talk more about other things you've underestimated about me on a date." Denki casually asked out the h/c haired girl knowing full well he's accomplished his goal of a date with Y/N even while waiting for her reply.

"Alright, I'm willing to give you a chance. Don't make me regret this." Y/N replied with a slightly serious tone to her voice. She was mentally asking herself what she has gotten into.
