Shigaraki didn't press any further for a response from Y/N. He felt that he had made his point and that it was more than confirmed at this point that she would be participating in League activities. He was pleased to know that at least one of the captors was working out in his favor. If only he could get the explosive brat to comply.

They kept Y/N and Bakugo apart for the rest of the day until the evening hours came. Throughout the day more members of the league had filtered in. Y/N recognizes most of them from the incident at the training camp. They had arrived because the league knew there would be a press conference with UA this evening and Shigaraki wanted everyone present to watch.

They once again dragged Bakugo out of the room. As he entered he saw that Y/N looked worse for wear mentally. She was stressed which was normal for the situation, but he could see that there was something else bothering her. Something happened while they were apart and made him angry to know that they fucked with her in some way. His observations are interrupted when he hears Shigaraki speak.

"Sorry for keeping your roommate from you all day. We just wanted to get to know her."

Bakugo looks back over to Y/N and notices that she looks down at the ground unwilling to look him in the eyes. He's even more curious about what they've done to her. This wasn't like her in the least bit. Normally she would at least give him a glance to indicate that she was alright.

"We brought you out because we want both of you to watch the press conference at UA. I'm sure you are excited to see what everyone is saying about the kidnapped students."

Y/N finally looks up from the ground to Shigaraki. She was frustrated and felt ashamed that she was even considering becoming a villain to save Denki from any type of kidnapping or harm. She loves him though and she'd do almost anything to keep him safe. Her mind was going a million minutes when she starts to play scenarios in her head about how to get of the situation. The easiest is to say she will join and then tell the heroes, but that's a risky idea. It could put Denki and maybe some of her other classmates at risk. She thinks about Mr. Aizawa and what he would tell her to do. It's obvious. He would tell her to let the pros handle it and trust in them. She gains some of her resolve back and listens to the press conference on the screen.

The conference is brutal. The media criticizes the teachers at UA and their competency in keeping students safe. She finally manages to glance over at Bakugo and they both share a concerned look. She can see Mr. Aizawa on the screen. He had his usual calm demeanor, but if you looked closely you can see that he was beating himself up internally for allowing the attack and kidnapping to happen. It made Y/N's heart sink to the bottom of her stomach. Her teacher was a well-known grump and seemingly aloof teacher, but she knew better than that. He always tries to get the best out of his students and he genuinely cares for them.

Shigaraki turns off the screen and starts to speak. Both Y/N and Bakugo are looking at him with disgust and anger.

"Isn't that strange? The heroes are becoming the bad guys. Seems like they're not dealing with this very well at all. So much criticism. But everyone makes a mistake or two, right?"

Shigaraki looks over to Y/N and she remembers their conversation about all it takes to become a villain is one bad day. The thought makes her shiver. It felt like she was on the borderline of having that one bad day.

"It's not like they're supposed to be perfect. Modern-day heroes sure have it rough. Don't you think Bakugo?"

The explosive blonde intensifies his glare towards Shigaraki. He wasn't entirely sure where he was going with this, but he could fuck off for all he cares.

The one named spinner who has the attributes of a lizard and is trying to rip off Stain's outfit speaks about the values of Stain; how heroes are corrupted by taking payment for doing good deeds. Shigaraki steps in going back to his monologue.
