Chapter 79-Labour

The next couple of weeks flew by due to the wedding planning, Max was getting bigger every day and seemed to always need bigger clothes and Magnus and Alec seemed to not stop doing something. Alec had started doing to a drug addicts group to help him control his addiction as well as seeing a therapist for additional support and to talk through his issues. It was helping him a lot and Magnus had noticed how relaxed Alec seemed to become, to the point where Magnus realised that the way Alec was in the beginning of their relationship was just a front.

Alec was far more sensitive and loving. He would buy Magnus flowers every other day. Always told Magnus that he was proud of him and woke up him most morning with breakfast in bed and Max fed and sleeping. Magnus couldn't believe how different Alec really was. It was a big difference to other people, to everyone else Alec was basically the same but Magnus could see the small changes that made his heart warm.

They had just had their usual breakfast in bed and Max was laid between them, he was coming up for 6 months and Magnus watched him as he started to spread his body out between them and Magnus chuckled softly as he felt himself getting pushed off the bed before Max cuddled into Alec more.

"He really loves you, you know that?" Magnus smiled at Alec who smiled back.

"I think I love him too. It's early days, but I think I do" Alec said and picked Max up, laying him in his chest as stroked his fingers gently through the dark black smattering of hair on Max's head.

Magnus couldn't help but pick up his phone and take a photo of the pair before making it his screen background. It was then a text came through from Jace and Magnus frowned, confused as to why Jace would be messaging him as he opened it.

'Where''s Alec? Why isn't he answering his phone?!' The text from Jace read.

'Max got hold of it last night and sucked on it. The speaker is broken, is everything okay?' Magnus replied.

'For fuck sake! Izzy in labour! She's at the hospital now!' Jace replied back fast.

'On our way!!' Magnus answered before looking at Alec.

"What's up?" Alec asked him.

"Izzy's in labour. We need to go now" Magnus said and jumped up, starting to gather his clothes.

"Oh my god! Okay, ill get Max dressed since you need longer to get ready" Alec said and stood up careful and went to get Max dressed before himself.

It was about twenty minutes later that the two men and Max left the apartment and got into Magnus's car. They took the ten minute drive to the hospital and then spent the next five minutes trying to get the pushchair to open up. By the time they made it into the hospital and found Izzy's room, Izzy had already had the baby and they smiled.

"Where was you?" Izzy frowned.

"Iz, when you go out now, you'll realise why we was late" Alec chuckled and went over to her, kissing the top of her head. "I'm so proud of you. Do I have a niece or nephew?"

"Alec, meet Zoella Lewis, your niece" Izzy said proudly as Simon handed the baby to him and he beamed as he held her.

"She's perfect" Alec smiled. "Why Zoella?"

"I wanted Zoe, Izzy wanted Ella. So we just combined" Simon explained and sat next to Izzy on the bed. "She really is beautiful, just like her mommy"

Izzy smiled and leaned into him as Simon kissed her head. Watching Alec as he stroked Zoella's cheek and took her to show Magnus who smiled down at her.

"She really is so precious" Magnus smiled. "Good Luck, you'll need it"

"How is Baby Max?" Izzy beamed. "They can grow up together. Go to the same school"

"He's growing everyday and yeah they can! That will be a great idea. Jace and Clary's baby won't be far behind them either" Magnus beamed.

Alec just stood their holding her and kissed the top of Zoella's head softly before looking at Magnus and then to Max. Realising how much he really did love Max. He loved Zoella too but it was different with Max, something stronger as he looked at Magnus and smiled with a glistening of a tear.

"What's wrong?" Magnus asked worriedly.

"I want to adopt Max. We can do it after the wedding but I want him to be my son. I know now... I love him. He is my son" Alec smiled and watched as Magnus cried softly but then jumped slightly at Izzy's shriek.

"THIS IS MY DAY!" She exclaimed but then laughed. "I'm just kidding. I'm so happy for you both! So Max with officially be my nephew? And will call me Auntie Izzy?"

"Yes" Alec chuckled and shook his head. "If that's still okay with you Magnus?"

"Of course it is. I would love nothing more" Magnus beamed and kissed his cheek as Zoella started screaming for food and Alec passed her back to Izzy quickly.

"I'm breastfeeding so..." She said and pointed towards the door. The men, except Simon, instantly leaving. The didn't want to see their sister/sister-in-law's breast. Clary looked more time since she was so smitten. Already desperate to meet her own baby as she finally left.

"When will she discharged?" Jace asked.

"Should be within a few hours. The labour went fine and Zo is all good too so she can come home soon" Simon said once he had joined them.

"We're going to go home and then maybe we can come over tomorrow?" Jace asked.

"Sounds good to me. Maryse will be coming around tomorrow as well anyway. You two can come too" Simon offered to Magnus and Alec.

"Where is mom anyway?" Alec asked.

"She was here and in the room with Izzy but... well she kept rubbing Izzy's head and back so Izzy punched her. She told her to stop a few times but then got annoyed. Maryse's is fine and not mad, apparently she punched Robert when she was having her Max but Izzy made her nose bleed so once she knew Izzy and Zo was okay, she went home to get cleaned up" Simon said and bit back a laugh.

"You think that was funny?" Alec asked with a cocked eyebrow.

"No... well a little, I mean, you should have been there. She just smacked her... I only laughed, with Maryse, after we knew she was okay" Simon chuckled.

"Hmm... well look after her and my niece. We will leave you three to it and let Izzy rest. We will come by tomorrow" Alec smiled.

"Thank you guys for coming" Simon smiled and then went back into the room with Izzy.

"How long you go left now Clary?" Magnus asked.

" About 5 months now" She beamed. "I can't wait but now, now I need chicken nuggets"

"Chicken Nuggets?" Magnus snorted.

"It's my craving. I had send Jace out at half three the other morning for some" She laughed.

"I remember. I'll take you now before you hit me" Jace said amused and they said their goodbyes before leaving. Magnus and Alec following along with Max before heading home.
