Two days had passed and today was the first day of Afronation. The excitement in the city was crazy, and almost everyone could feel that the next couple of days were going to be filled with lots of laughter and joy.
Adonis and Hazel had been getting along ever since their little talk in her hotel room two nights prior. Adonis was finding it harder to keep his feelings in check in comparison to Hazel who had mastered the art of wearing a poker face. She'd been in the influencing industry for a couple of years now, and because of that, she'd learnt how to block out her feelings - especially when she was hurt by a situation. Adonis on the other hand, was unintentionally wearing his heart on his sleeve, and even though he'd agreed to just being friends with Hazel, he couldn't lie and say it didn't hurt him to think of everything they could've been.
What a shame.
The moment the pressure of working towards a relationship had been removed from them, things were going so much smoother. Smooth to the point where Adonis was sitting next to Hazel right now, on insta live with her as they answered questions before his set. His right arm was slung across her neck as they sat close together, and her sweet vanilla scented perfume invaded his nostrils, daring him to fall in love.
"You guys are so nosey." Hazel commented as she leaned closer to the phone and read some of the comments people were making. A lot of people were asking if the pair were romantically involved which was expected since people were always interested in who rappers were dating, but they couldn't lie and say it wasn't overwhelming to continuously have people in their business. "Stop asking if we're a thing." Hazel answered. She looked towards Adonis who had chosen to remain silent whilst she answered the question and he looked back at her, lips tucked inwards as he nodded at what she'd said.
"Will you guys do YouTube vids together?" Hazel mumbled as she read the question from one of the comments to herself. "Probably." She smiled as she looked at Adonis. "If this guy wants to do it then I don't mind." She explained whilst pointing to him. YouTube was probably her least favourite hobby to do, but she did it simply for the fans who wanted to know more about her. Plus, it gave her a little extra cash on the side, so it was worth it even if she didn't love it.
"You want me in your videos?" Adonis asked her with his voice lower than usual. For a hot second he forgot that they were on live as he licked his lips and looked into her eyes. He was trying. He was really trying his best to respect her wishes and stay in the friend zone... but the chemistry between them was undeniably fierce. Just by looking into her eyes he was mesmerised and he felt like he was undressing her soul. His eyes were making love with her.
"Stop looking at me like that." Hazel giggled shyly whilst turning her face to look back at the camera. Adonis was really going to have all 50K of these fans on live moving crazy if he didn't stop looking at her like he was in love. The internet was so quick with things, they'd probably have people making couple pages about them in no time.
"Like what?" Adonis teased with a smirk. He knew what he was doing, and he knew she was getting nervous, but that wasn't stopping him. "Tell these people you're my wife." He smiled widely into the camera, showing off his iced out grills. He hadn't said much during this live but every time he did speak, he had Hazel's heart beating faster than usual.
Hazel snapped her head in his direction at the joke he'd just made. Even though she knew he wasn't being serious, it did nothing to settle the butterflies in her stomach. It was like the butterflies were reserved for him and only him. She rolled her eyes at him playfully before turning back to the camera. "Ignore him guys. If he don't Birkin bag me, then he ain't wifing me." Hazel stated, causing the comment section to react with laughing emojis.
