*Takes place a while after season 5, Chloe and Lucifer are dating*

Lucifer smiled at his detective, not exactly sure why she was angry.

"Lucifer, stop it," Lucifer furrowed his brow, no idea what she was going on about.

"Stop what?" Chloe glared at him, trying her hardest not to smile. Lucifer had grown quite a bit in the past few years, but he was still himself. That didn't stop her from expecting him to follow protocol. He had run his mouth and given privileged information to a suspect. Chloe had trusted him to question the suspect with Dan because the misogynistic idiot they were questioning wouldn't talk to her. She'd stormed out of the room, ready to yell at him as soon as he got out of interrogation, but then he had smiled at her. He was still smiling at her, frustratingly adorable.

"Stop looking at me like that," she was trying so hard to be mad at him.

"Detective, what did I do wrong?" He waited for her to answer. Lucifer had tried so hard to ask all the questions Chloe would've. He'd mojo'd the guy but avoided punching him or slamming him up against the wall, knowing she didn't like when he did that. Apparently he had still somehow screw it up. He waited for her to scold him.

"Lucifer-," Chloe went to correct him but when she looked at him she realized how defeated he looked. "It's nothing. You did great. You didn't punch him or throw him," she chuckled, continuing, "and you asked all the questions I asked you too." She came around the table and touched his face lightly, "You did good, Lucifer." He looked up at her, "really? You're not angry with me?"

Chloe explained to him that he had given privileged information to the suspect and that's why she had been angry, but he had gotten what they needed and that was more important. She dismissed his apologies, trying to comfort him, but Lucifer couldn't let it go. He hid it from her during the work day, but instead of offering to meet her at her apartment or inviting her to his penthouse, he simply walked her to her car, gave her a small kiss goodbye, and strolled to his corvette.

Lucifer arrived home, taking a swig from his flask as the elevator doors opened. Amenadiel was waiting for him.

"Luci, what's wrong?" Lucifer shook his head,

"It's just...work. I can't seem to get this protocol thing right. No matter what I do, I always mess it up somehow." Lucifer pulled himself a drink. Amenadiel murmured something about Lucifer needing to be patient because learning take time, but the devil only nodded.

"Lucifer, can I borrow some money?" Lucifer wheeled around, "I don't have a human job and I can't keep spending my nights flying around. I need an apartment." Lucifer smirked,

"Is that all? Well, you don't need money for that. I'll call in a favor." Lucifer scribbled something on a piece of paper and sent Amenadiel on his way. He sat that bar dropping his head into his hands. He couldn't believe he'd failed the detective again. It felt like that was all he could do. Corrupt, destroy, and/or ruin, everything he touched.

Lucifer's phone started ringing. He furrowed his brows as he read the caller ID.

"Hello...okay...where...on my way."

Lucifer hung up, set his phone on the piano, and walked quickly onto the balcony, flipping his wings out and flying off. The elevator doors opened just as Lucifer flew away.

"Shit," Chloe murmured and walked to the bar. She pulled out her phone and sent him a text. "Hey, I'm at the penthouse. I thought we could talk" She went over to the bar and poured herself a drink. She heard a phone go off. Strangely it wasn't hers. Then she noticed a phone on the piano. She walked over to it, checking to make sure it was Lucifer's. She pressed the home button and was surprised to find her face staring back at her. Chloes heart fluttered unexpectedly as she realized not only had he set her as his phone background, her contact name read "Chloe ❤️". She sent him another message, "just found your phone. I'm going to head home. feel free to drop by."  She grabbed his glass of whiskey and downed the last of it, walking back into the elevator.

Lucifer landed a few blocks from Dan's apartment. Trixie was sitting on the ground with her knees to her chest and her back against a random building. Lucifer bent down beside her and put his hand on her leg, her head snapped up. When she recognized him she threw her arms around his neck. He stood, taking her up with him and setting her on her feet. "Are you alright?" She nodded but he noticed her knees were scraped and bloody. Not deep enough to be serious, but enough to sting.

"Right, just to be safe, let me call your mother, she can bandage you up." Trixie shook her head,

"Mommy can't know I snuck out," Lucifer felt his pockets, he had left his phone at the penthouse.

"You're in luck, Trix. I left my phone at the penthouse. How about we go back there. I'll help you with your knees and then drop you back at Daniels'. Your mother never has to know, deal?" Trixie nodded in agreement.

"Alright, lets go then."

Lucifer landed on his balcony and set Trixie gently on her feet. She walked in first but dipped behind Lucifer as he walked in. He lifted her up so she was sitting on the bar.

"Okay, Urchin. Your scrapes don't look too deep, let's go to the bathroom and clean them, then a couple of bandaids and we should be good as new," Trixie bit her lip. She set her phone down and followed him to the bathroom. After her knees were bandaged, Lucifer lead her down to the Corvette and drove her to Dans.

Lucifer knocked on the door. Detective Douche opened it a bit later, looking very confused. "Lucifer what the Hell are you doing here?" Lucifer pushed past him. "Have you seen Mazikeen?" He was stalling. After a few moments, Lucifer requested the usage of his bathroom. The Devil walked into the small bathroom, locked the door behind him and opened the window. Trixie crawled through the window.

"Took you long enough." "Well I had to appear as if I was simply inquiring about Maze so he didn't suspect I was up to something. This being the something." Daniel walked by the bathroom into the living room and Lucifer heard him plop onto the couch.

"Get in the shower." Trixie gave him a look, Lucifer smiled,

"You know, your mother makes that face at me all the time," he then remembered why he was Daniels bathroom, "Stand in the shower in case he comes in after I leave, then be as quiet as you can when you go to your room." Trixie nodded. Just before Lucifer unlocked the door, Trixie opened the shower door,

"Thank you, Lucifer."

"Anytime, Urchin."

A/N Hey, so I guess a couple people are reading this, so if you guys have any ideas or prompts, let me know. As always, if you see any grammar or spelling mistakes, let me know. If reading fanfics has taught me anything, it's how annoying improper grammar can be. I've also learned staying up until 4am reading, usually makes for a harder day ahead, so don't forget to sleep :)
