Chloe walked into the precinct. She had gone out with Maze, always a bad idea, but never dull. She didn't remember much of the night. At some point she'd gotten into a bar fight and then done karaoke, and finally found herself at LUX. She was starting to sober up and Maze had seen a chick she liked and walked over to pursue her. That left Chloe alone at the bar and thanks to the copious amount of alcohol she had consumed, wearing off or not, she walked over to the elevator, shooting finger guns at Lucifers butler dude and pressed the button to ride up to his place.
Lucifer was playing the piano and thinking about work that day. The detective had seemed more stressed and he wasn't sure why. He was going over everything he'd said to her in the past few days, trying to figure out what he'd done wrong this time when the elevator dinged. He heard heels and assumed it was a girl coming to sleep with him. He turned around to send her away, but instead of a random girl from LUX, it was his girl. His detective. In the dim light Lucifer couldn't tell if she had something on her face or if she was bleeding.
"Detective, darling. Are you alright?" She nodded,
"I'm great," she blinked at him, "Luci, you're so pretty." He smiled, still not sure if she was alright.
"How much have you had to drink?" Chloe stumbled and Lucifer caught her around the waist, steadying her.
"I was with Maze." Lucifer sighed, ready to retort but the blood on her face distracted him. He tucked a hand under her chin and turned her face to see it better.
"Who hit you," he growled, releasing her face. Chloe smiled at him and giggled,
"I got in a bar fight, it was fun." Lucifer exhaled, trying not to get too angry. He would track down and take care of the bastard that his her later. For the moment, he lead her to the couch and went to get her a glass of water. When he got back, she was staggering around near the piano. He watched her hit his glass off it and rushed forward, catching it and setting it back down.
Lucifer scooped her up and sat her on the counter, examining the wound again. It wasn't deep or big, but it definitely needed cleaned and the edges around it were bruising. The words 'blunt force trauma' popped into his head. He thought Ella would be proud then sundered at the thought of Chloe dying and ripped that particular train of thought to shreds then set it on fire.
"Stay here, Love. I'm going to get the first aid kit." Chloe nodded and yawned. She looked small...young even. Lucifer set the kit down, giving her forehead a small kiss. He took out a small wet napkin and wiped the blood from around the wound gingerly. It wasn't bad, but it looked dirty. He lifted her off the counter. She was chattering sleepily about something or other but Lucifer was focused on treating her wound. He lead her into the bathroom and flushed her wound. She flinched at the cleaner but instead of stopping him, she reached out to hold his hand like a little kid seeking support. He dabbed a bit of antibiotic ointment on it and then put on a big bandaid. He wasn't sure why, but he gave the wound a small kiss.
Chloe giggled at the little kiss Lucifer gave her injury. It was so mundane, so..cute. She let him lead her to the bed and sat on her side of it. Lucifer gently laid her back and gave her one last kiss. He turned, planning on grabbing a drink. Chloe panicked for a moment, not sure why Lucifer was walking away, but she didnt like it. There was pressure at the back for her eyes and a lump formed in her throat, she swallowed it and whispered his name,
"Lucifer? Stay with me?" There was no way Lucifer could say no to that. He turned to her and smiled softly,
"Of course, my love." He went around ht ebed and climbed in. She rolled to face him and he put an arm around her waist. Lucifer kissed the tip of her nose.
