Lucifer walked through the ashy corridors. He'd forgotten how hard it was to breathe down here, all the ash, but Lucifer couldn't go back to earth. Chloe was dead. She went peacefully, died of old age. Earth without his detective was pointless. He couldn't stand it anymore. He'd given the children the money needed for her funeral and they all had their trusts so they were taken care of and he'd left.

Chloe had said she would find a way to him. Lucifer had told her that Hell was no place for her, but she'd only winked "We'll see about that". He almost doubled over at the memory. Lucifer remembered her dirty blonde hair, eventually it had silvered and she'd made a joke about Lucifer being into older women, he'd of course told her she was the most beautiful being to ever exist and that she'd never be older than him, seeing as he'd been alive since the beginning of time. "So are you saying I should find someone more age appropriate? I mean, if you're that old, I should be truly repulsed." "Don't you dare". Memories upon memories, he thought of the day they'd met. "Lucifer Morningstar. Is that a stage name or something?"

"God given I'm afraid." Lucifer whispered, he missed her. More than he'd ever missed anyone. It was tearing him apart. That's when he heard it. A piano, an in tune one too. A flame blazed within him; hope.

Chloe looked around. She was in Lucifer's penthouse. She hadn't been here in a very very long time. She went to pour herself a glass of whiskey. She'd been a wine girl until she'd met Lucifer. Kissing the whiskey off his lips had been one her favorite pastimes. Chloe caught her reflection in the mirrored wall. She laughed, she looked like she had when she'd met him,

"Lucifer Morningstar. Is that a stage name?" She whispered. She could almost hear his response, "God given, I'm afraid."

If Chloe remembered correctly, she'd died and gone to heaven. Then yelled at God, who'd given her a pent-something coin. Basically a one way ticket to Hell. That's when her father had found her. He'd tried to convince her to stay. While Chloe loved her parents, they had each other up here. Everyone had someone and of they didn't they would soon, whether their someone died or they made a friend. Lucifer was alone. Completely alone. No possibilities, no one to talk to, as far as she knew, he couldn't even cry unless he wanted a demon revolt. She'd refused her parents. Hugged Charolette, Linda, and shot Micheal a glare before flipping the coin. She watched it dissolve and now she was in the penthouse.

She sat down on the piano bench, maybe Lucifer was in LA and that's why she was here. Chloe wasn't sure what else to do. She played the first three notes of Heart and Soul.

G G G

Lucifer flew down the hall at top speed. That was the top line to Heart and Soul on an actually in tune piano. Maybe it was her. He slowed as her approached the door and the music stopped. He paused, unsure, Chloe only knew about half of the song, so if the song restarted-

G G G

He walked in and there she was, playing the piano. The blonde back in her hair. The hair change was the only part of her aging that Lucifer really noticed. That and she needed to sit down a bit more frequently. Aging hadn't changed her though. She was still Chloe Decker-Morningstar, his detective, his wife, his whole world.

He placed his hand on her back and bent over she when she looked at him, she saw his face. She'd done the same thing all those years ago, the first time they'd played Heart and Soul. Chloe smiled, recalling his words when she had done this,

"Bit late for a new case, isn't it?" She asked, hoping he remembered the next line,

"I'm not here for a case. I'm here for you." She raised an eyebrow at him, realizing how that would've sounded to him in the moment. He let her finish the line,

"I thought you could use a friend."

Lucifer pulled her close as he had done so many times on that piano bench and he kissed her. He'd been afraid this was a set up, but there was no way his demons could capture her this perfectly. She even tasted right. Melted into him at the perfect time. He broke the kiss,

"You're here? You did it?" Chloe smirked at him, still close to him,

"Turns out, yelling at your dad actually worked." Lucifer laughed,

"Only you, detective, would yell at the creator of the universe." Chloe let him pull her into a hug,

"Well someone needed to yell at him. I just happened to also be married to the devil and here I am."

"Speaking of married to the devil, you should probably get the details of your stay." She pulled back

"My stay? I thought I was here forever." He smiled sadly at her,

"You go back in one week,  assuming dad sent you on a Pentecostal coin." Chloe nodded, Lucifer couldn't  help but smile as he watched her think. She had her detective face on.

"So, how do I stay? Yell at him again?"

"Well, there is one way, but it's not likely you would stay human."

"Okay, Lucifer, what the fuck?" Lucifer bit back a laugh,

"I mean, it would more likely than not turn you into a celestial and you'd come back to life." He said it almost hesitantly. She'd lived once, what were the chances she'd want to do it again.

"I'm not seeing a downside, Luci."

"You would have to become queen of Hell." Chloe nodded,

"Awesome, when do we start?" Lucifer stared at her, openmouthed.

"You want to be queen of Hell? With a the torturing and the lost souls and the demons and the bloody ash?" Chloe looked hurt,

"Do you not want me to stay with you?" Lucifer softened,

"Of course I want you to stay. I want to be with you forever, Chloe, but you don't deserve Hell. This," he waved his arms, and the LA sky fell, revealing the jagged towers, "this is my punishment and the last thing I want is for you to be punished as well."

"I want to stay, Lucifer. Punishment, souls, demons, they don't matter. I want to be with you. Forever." Lucifer smiled, if this is what she truly desired, who was he to deny her.

"Very well," he pulled her close to him once more, "Forever it is, my love."
