Part 64

a/n I got a laptop! I can write again!!! I might start a new book and but all the 5b oneshots there. 

Lucifer twisted Chloes hair between his fingers. The strands look golden in the morning light. She shifted slightly and he paused. She was wearing the necklace he had gotten her. The night before, she hadnt been wearing it at dinner and he'd assumed she'd lost it or the chain had broken or something like that, but apparently she had just decided not to wear it. This worried him. Had she been mad at him yesterday? She hadn't said or done anything that suggested she was anything but happy. Well, horny, but that was a train of thought for a diffrent time. Maybe she just didn't like the necklace. But then wouldn't she have pretended to loose it or break it? 

Lucifer was still stressing about this particular issue when Chloe woke up. When she noticed the worry on his face, she tensed slighlty. Had she done something wrong? 

"Lucifer?" Chloe's whisper broke Lucifer out of his revery and he turned to smile at her, 

"Good morning, Detective." She nodded but her brows were furrowed. 

"Luicfer, what is it?" So she had seen it on his face, the worry that is. 

"It's nothing my love...I just noticed that you dont wear your bullet necklace as often anymore. Do you not like it?" A smile crept across Chloe's face, 

"Of course I like it, I wore it for two years straight. When you gave it to me you made a joke about how you'd never likely penetrate me and well...you definitly have." Lucifer couldn't help but laugh, 

"But jokes aside," Chloe continued, "I already can't stop thinking about you, I dont need a necklace to remind me how much I love you." A small blush crept across her cheeks as she realized she had just admitted that she couldn't stop thinking about him. Suddenly he laughed out of no where, 

"Detective darling, I've had you playing on repeat in my head for five years. There's no need to blush, although it does make you look even more adorable." Chloe raised an eyebrow, 

"Adorable?" Lucifer chuckled, 

"Yes. I adore you, Chloe Decker."
