"Hell yeah!" You heard the happy cheers coming from the mess hall.

"Woohoooooo!!!" You rolled your eyes at the drunk sounds echoing through the halls.

It was almost midnight, but everyone was still awake and drunk. Earlier that day, the Survey Corps experienced a rare victory, where you, your squad, and the rest of the Scouts eliminated Titans that threatened the security of humanity, with no casualties. So the higher-ups made the decision that you all deserved a night off from the stress and paperwork.

You, on the other hand, were stuck with cleaning duty. There was one incident during the battle where one of your teammates almost got the entire squad killed and Captain Levi had to save you all. However, when you got back to HQ and was questioned by Commander Erwin, your so-called "teammate" blamed you, saying you were the one who gave the order. As a punishment, Levi gave you two weeks of cleaning duty.

So while everyone had fun, ate good food, and got almost blind-drunk, you stood in the hallway, angrily sweeping the floor. Your grip on the wooden broom tightened when you listened to your teammate walk past you without even shooting a glance in your direction, acting like a snooty bitch.

A few minutes later, now you were wiping down the windows, which weren't too bad since Levi had cleaned them a few days ago. However, he insisted they were coated with dust, and forced you to clean them anyways.

"(Y-Y/N)? Is that *hiccup* you?" You whipped around at the sound of the commander's slurred voice down the hallway. You sighed and put the rag and window cleaner down before walking over to the stumbling blonde. Even in the dark, you could see his drunk half-lidded eyes.

"Commander, are you okay?" You asked as he leaned on you and wrapped his arm atop your shoulders. He shook his head and almost fell down, but thankfully, you caught his heavy, muscular body.

"No ma'am." He sloppily saluted with a smirk.

"Oh my god..." You muttered as you dragged him back to his double-doored office. You opened the door and practically had to push him into his office. But once you closed the door, his mood and stature completely changed. He was now his usual self and apparently...not drunk? You watched as he smoothed his hair and eyebrows down and readjusted his bolo tie.

"S-Sir?" You stuttered out in near-disbelief. He looked at you with shimmering blue eyes confusedly, but then quietly snickered when he realized.

"Oh right. I acted like I was drunk just to get out of there. Those people are animals when they're intoxicated..." He explained with a gentle smile. You chuckled nervously and nodded. "I was also hoping to...speak with you?" Your posture immediately stiffened and you visibly showed your uneasiness.

"I'm telling you Commander, I-I didn't-"

"I know you didn't give the order. And please, drop the formalities when we're alone." Your breath hitched, but you nodded and gave him a tiny smile.

"Oh okay. So then, what did you want to talk to me about?" You inquired after a moment or two of silence. You fiddled with the string coming out of your Survey Corps patch on your uniform jacket. Erwin looked down at his boots for a moment before moving his eyes back up to lock onto yours.

"Nothing at all. I just wanted to get out of that place...but I also didn't want to be alone. But if this makes you uncomfortable, you can l-"

"No!" You said loudly, causing Erwin to raise his eyebrows at you. You sighed and relaxed your tense muscles before speaking again, quietly this time. "I-I mean...no, i-i-it's fine. I'm...I-I'm actually v-very comfortable with this sir- I-I mean, Erwin."

"Oh." He paused to study your expression. "(Y/N) do I make you nervous?" You quickly looked up and widened your eyes. You quickly shook your head.

"N-No, why would you think that?" You stuttered as you scratched your arm. Erwin chuckled and stepped closer to you.

"I think that because your face and ears are red." You silently gasped and subconsciously moved a hand up to touch your steaming hot cheek. Your pulse was also elevated to the point where it felt like it would beat out of your chest.

"Well, only a little nervous, I guess..." Your voice cracked on the last word, making you silently cringe.

"Hm. Is a hug out of the question?" He asked out of the blue. Your eyes shot up when you saw he was getting closer to you. "You...you look like you need one."

"So do you Erwin." You replied with a small, yet eased smile. You felt relieved when he pulled you into his strong arms and held you close to his broad chest. You wanted to melt into his arms, because you yearned to stay there forever. Your only wish was to live with Erwin in a world free of Titans. Erwin gently swayed you in his embrace, which was soothing. Your mother used to do that when she hugged you, and it made you feel safe.

"(Y/N), I...I-I love you..." Erwin quietly told you. You widened your eyes in surprise, but stayed in his arms. Any sudden movement and he'd probably think you were trying to pull away. So instead, you moved just your eyes to look up at his sparkling ocean blue irises. His eyes were full of love and admiration.

"You know, I love you too Commander." You squeezed your arms around his waist tighter and fully looked up at him. Time slowed down when his lips finally met yours, igniting a sudden reflex in your brain. You moved your hands up to his shoulders and wrapped your arms around his neck. His soft lips were all you wanted. After a few seconds, he pulled away to observe your reaction.

"Are you sure you're not drunk Erwin?" You asked with a smirk, earning a slight chuckle from him.

"I'm 100% sure I'm sober."
