Prolouge

The sound of her phone ringing made her head turned to its direction. She reluctantly answered it before pressing it to her ear.

"Hey, do you eat out later?" Regulus asked as he was he was cleaning up the dishes that were left on the sink. He pressed the phone in between his ear and shoulder before turning on the faucet.

"Where are we eating?" Mia asked, glancing at the files for the next case. "We are not going to eat at that awful restaurant that you picked out last time."

Regulus chuckled. "Yeah. That was my bad. That restaurant was dreadful." The raven haired man agreed. "Sierra picked out the restaurant. It's the new Italian restaurant."

"My daughter knows me so well." Mia said, dramatically. "Did you just get home or are you at a lavatory?" Mia asked, hearing water running from the the other line.

"I'm home. Sierra left some dishes before she left to go next door." Regulus answered. "Tell me, why wasn't I informed that Sierra was going out?" he asked, curiously.

"Because you don't like her hanging out with boys." Mia commented. "Before you say anything else, she's with two boys and three girls and their parents are there." She said before the raven haired man could say anything else.

Regulus huffed. "I don't trust the boys she hangs out with." He murmured, turning off the faucet before wiping his hand dry with the kitchen towel.

Mia shook her head, chuckling on how protective he is. "Cut her some slack. She's twelve and soon to be thirteen. Let her live." Mia said, casually. She glanced at the entrance of her office and quickly noticed her secretary. "Regulus, I'll call you later. I think we have a meeting."

Regulus hummed. "Have fun." he muttered before ending the call. He placed his phone on the countertop before getting a beer from the fridge.

He was drinking his beer as he stared at their family picture. His eyes landed at Sierra's baby picture. Regulus smiled at the sight of it.

It was around six in the evening when Mia got out of work. She was walking around the empty parking lot. When she stopped in front of her car, she noticed that there was a small envelope on her windshield. Mia's eyes widened as she saw who the letter was addressed to.

To Morticia Amelia De Martel

She hasn't used that name in years. It sent chills down her spine

She immediately took the envelope before placing it inside her bag before hopping inside her car and driving away from the office.

The brunette tried her best not to think about the envelope inside her bag. Though, she couldn't stop thinking who could send her that letter. The only person that knows she's alive are the living De Martels. They wouldn't sent letters to Mia as per her and Regulus' request. No one even knew their location.

Morticia Amelia Priestley was growing paranoid every second that passes.

Before she knew it, she was already in front of her house. She shook the feeling off before heading inside. The only thing in the world that can get her to calm down is her daughter. Sierra was her light. Her life.

She quickly caught a sight of Regulus and Sierra eating brownies as they were sitting down on the sofa. Mia smiled at the sight of it.

"Mom, you're home." Sierra said, surprised that she didn't hear the door opened.

"Obviously, Sierra." Mia said, chuckling softly. "What have you two been up to?" she asked, dropping her bag and keys on the table before sitting next to her daughter.

"Nothing much. We baked brownies." Regulus said, proudly. "And it didn't burn this time."

Mia snorted. "Anyway, I think we should just order in tonight. Let's eat out tomorrow since it's Saturday. Sounds good?" she asked the two before taking a piece of brownie.

Sierra nodded. "Sure. You're tired, mom. You should take a shower. We'll order the food." Sierra suggested. "Uhm, wait. Before you take a shower. I wanted to say something." Sierra said, enthusiastically.

Regulus furrowed his brows slightly. "Please don't tell me you're dating that guy you were talking with earlier." Regulus was practically begging. "He looks absolutely ridiculous." Regulus scoffed, crossing his arms above his chest.

Mia bit her lip to prevent herself from laughing whilst Sierra glared at the raven haired man.

"No, not that!" Sierra exclaimed before pulling something from her pocket. "I got my Hogwarts letter!"

Sierra was currently expelled from Ilvermorny due to reasons. Both Regulus and Mia were finding a school for her. They were hoping that she'll get a letter from Beauxbatons or anywhere. They were praying that Sierra wouldn't get a letter from Hogwarts. The day Regulus and Mia hoped that wouldn't come is finally here.

Amelia glanced at Regulus. He was giving her a look. A look Mia knew all too well. Regulus was frightened. They both were. They weren't ready for her to know anything about their past. The things they had to do to stay alive.

A/N: It's finally here!!! The sequel is now officially up. Enjoy. This story will contain both Mia's and Sierra's story.
