Memories from that night kept popping inside her mind no matter how much she tries to bury it deep in her mind. She was happy to see her old friends, a different kind of happy, but Amelia didn't regret what she did. She did it for her family and for herself. She wasn't ready to face him yet, not when her relationship with a certain raven haired man was blooming.
Arms wrapping around her waist made her stiffen, but only to relax when she realized it was only Regulus behind her. "Hey. Good morning." she murmured, turning her head to press her lips against his. "I made coffee if you want some." she added, bringing the mug against her lips.
"Why are you up so early?" Regulus asked, nuzzling his head on the crook of her neck as his grip on her waist tightened, her back against his chest.
"Made breakfast and coffee." she answered, amused with his actions. "You?"
"I was alone. Didn't feel like being alone. It really isn't fun to wake up to an empty bed, you know?"
The brunette rolled her eyes at his dramatics. "You are being such a baby." she said and shuddered at the feeling of him placing small kisses on her shoulder blade. Amelia turned to face him with a brow raised at him, putting a small distance between them. "What do you think you're doing?"
"Giving you my love." He answered, smoothly with a smirk in his face, slowly pulling her close as he leaned against the kitchen island. "Since were disturbed the last time, we not continue?"
"The twins could be awake and be down any minute now."
"I checked before I came downstairs. They're still sound alsleep."
"You planned this, didn't you?" she asked in skepticism, her hands resting on either side of his shoulders that slowly moved around his neck.
Regulus didn't reply with words, instead he leaned down and press his lips against hers. It slow and passionate, it was like he was channeling his love through the kiss. And almost as quick as blinking, he carried her up on the counter top without breaking the kiss, his hands going over her shirt and caressing small circles on her hips that sent shivers down her spine.
"We really shouldn't be doing this here." Amelia muttered, breathlessly before biting her lower lip to prevent a moan to leave her lips when his kisses trailed to her jaw and down to her neck. And when he found the sweet spot on her neck, the brunette wasn't able to keep the soft moan to leave her lips. She scowled when he felt him smirking against her skin. "I hate you."
"Really? Your body is telling me a different story, love." His smirk grew wider when she glared at him. Before he could do anything else, the sound of pairs of feet thumping down the stairs made them pull away and Amelia jumping down the counter top with Regulus' help as they fixed their appearances.
"You really need to start organizing your things, Si. You are losing your things!" Damon exclaimed, earning an eye roll from his sister.
"I'll do it for ten galleons."
"Why would I pay you to clean your room?"
"Because you hate messy things." she grinned. "You'd either clean it up yourself or mom would. Waiting for the first one, but paying me sounds better."
The adults exchanged amused and flustered looks. A moment ago they were being intimate and now, they had no idea how to act.
There was some sort of unspoken agreement between them where their relationship would be in private, no one would know, but with the exemption of Maven (who walked in on them once) and Savannah (who Maven had so excitedly gossiped to). There were different reasons why they wanted to keep it a secret for now, but it all boils down to one thing. They weren't ready to tell the twins of their relationship.
