Mia felt a pang of pain as she slowly stirred awake and opened her eyes. She blinked multiple times until her eyes have adjusted to the light. The brunette froze upon hearing snores from behind her. He had an arm wrapped tightly around her waist as his head was buried in the crook of her neck.

The doctor's eyes widened in shock. The last thing that she remembered from last night was their kiss and the way she was straddling his lap which made her groan internally. Hundreds of questions was running around her head. Did we have sex? God, what if we have sex? Will this make things awkward? Shit, did I look desperate last night? Fuck fuck.

Even with hundreds of things running in her mind, she couldn't help, but to feel comfortable and safe in his arms. She was always safe in his arms, she just didn't notice it until it was too late. They were friends now, they couldn't get involved with each other, it'll complicate tons of things.

Regulus could feel movement beside him which caused him to whine, his grasp from her tightening. My pillow can move, he thought to himself. Maybe I'm drunk.

"Oh my God." his eyes widened in shock, seeing that he was laying beside her, cuddling beside her. "Shit shit shit shit." he backed away and in result he fell to the floor.

"Regulus, are you alright?" she asked, standing up from the bed.

"Y—Yeah yeah. I'm fine. Peachy to be honest." He muttered, standing up. "I'm—"

"Did w—"

Both of them spoke at the same time, their eyes meeting before they averted their gazes. Regulus cleared his throat.

"You go first." he said.

"Did we— you know? Do that?"

"We didn't. Don't worry." Regulus answered, his hand rubbing the back of his neck. "I put you to bed and I was supposed to go to my room, but you were making a fuss because you wanted to me to stay. So—"

"You stayed." She finished, her cheeks heating up.

"I'm sorry. I was supposed to head back when you fell asleep, but I fell asleep too. Sorry."

Amelia chuckled, waving him off. "Hey, it's fine. Really. And the kiss last night. I'm sorry for that, I knew it shouldn't have happened." she said, sheepishly before glancing at the clock. "I should go and get ready for work." she offered him a smile before entering the bathroom.

Regulus stood there dumbfounded. Was she sorry because it was a bad thing to happen? Or was she sorry because that shouldn't have happened while they were drunk, it should happen when their sober? He was confused to say the least. Though he couldn't help, but to sigh in defeat. Maybe he's chances of being with her was now gone.

"You are so damn stupid, Mia." Savannah stated, chuckling at the brunette's frustrated look. Once she was done showering, Regulus was already gone and left a note saying that he'll be going to work and he might be home tomorrow. Without warning, Mia knocked on Savannah's door instead of going to work. She was lucky Remus wasn't home or else he might have a heart attack.

"I swear to God, he is going to be avoiding me." she whined, sitting upright before drinking her tea. "I knew I shouldn't have gotten drunk with him. I knew that something like that would happen. Shit shit shit. What if he moves out? What do I tell the kids?"
