1989
It's been years since Voldemort was destroyed. Deatheaters went into hiding, some were thrown into Azkaban, and some died. Regulus and Amelia felt safe knowing that there aren't any more deatheaters lurking around to capture them. They were finally safe. They felt safe to raise the twins in a world without a war.
Dr. Amelia Priestley was an intern at one of the greatest hospitals in Seattle. Regulus was very proud of her, but he still thinks that she would has a better future in the Wizarding World. Along Amelia's internship, she had met one of the doctors who treated her, Dr. Bryce Shaw.
The brunette was doing charts by the Nurses' Station when Bryce handed her a cup of coffee before sitting down next to her.
"You look exhausted, Priestley." Bryce stated and Mia frowned, giving him a look. "Yeah. Never tell a woman that she looked exhausted." he nodded in agreement.
"You're finally learning, Dr. Shaw." Mia said, smiling sarcastically which made Bryce roll his eyes at her. "Are you leaving for the night?" she questioned, looking at his civilian clothes.
"Yeah. My sister and her son is in town. It's been a while since I've seen them, so I took the night off." Bryce explained, watching her take a sip of the coffee he gave her. "What time does your shift end?"
Mia shrugged. "I don't know. I might go home later than expected if I want to learn more." she replied, nonchalantly. Bryce was about to say something else when Amelia's pager beeped. "It's Enzo. I'll see you tomorrow! Bye." she said before walking away from him.

"Mum, I'm going out for a walk, is that okay?" An eight years old Sierra questioned as she stepped down at the end of the stairs. "Mum?" she called out, walking inside the kitchen to see if her mum was there, instead she found Regulus.
"Your mum isn't here. She's at the hospital, darling." Regulus informed and Sierra frowned. "You can go out for a walk, Sierra Corine. Just be back before dark. Your mother will have my head."
Sierra grinned, clutching onto the book she received from her mother. "Thank you! I'll be back soon!" she hollered before leaving the house with her book and coat whilst Regulus smiled to himself as he felt contented with everything he had right now.

The eight years old brunette was making her way to the park to read and play at the public playground. She used to go there with her twin, but he was usually busy at the moment since he was always with hanging out with neighbors kids. Sierra never fancied going along with them even if Damon insisted on it, she always preferred going on walks and going to the park by herself.
The little girl had her head in her book, intrigued with the plot as she walked towards the playground. Without looking her way, she collided with someone which caused both of them to fall to the ground.
"Ow." Sierra frowned, grabbing her book that landed right next to her. She sighed in relief when she saw that the book wasn't damaged.
The boy sighed, towering over her as he offered her his hand which Sierra was skeptical to accept, but still grabbed his hand to help pull herself up. "You should really watch the way you're going." he stated, watching her straighten her plaid skirt.
Sierra gave him a sheepish smile. "Sorry, mister. The story was getting interesting. It'd be a shame to miss every detail of the story." she murmured and he arched a brow at her, quite amused.
"Mister? Do I look that old to you?" the raven haired boy asked the girl. "I'm only ten years old. I don't look that old."
"You look older than me." the youngest De Martel implied before staring at the empty playground. "Do you wanna go on the swing with me?" she asked with a cheery smile on her face.
"I can't." The boy replied which caused Sierra's smile to fall. "My mum will be back with my uncle. Maybe next time."
Sierra nodded. "Okay. I'll see you around." she flashed him a sweet smile before continuing her way to the playground when she turned back around the boy was gone and she just shrugged the weird feeling off.

Summer of 1993
The sound of a loud beeping noise snapped Mia away from her thoughts and brought her back to reality. She searched her purse until she found her pager and frowned. "I feel to go back to the hospital. 911. Make sure you eat dinner." she sighed, kissing her daughter's cheek before heading out the door with her coat and purse.
Sierra arched a brow at the raven haired man who made his way to the kitchen. "What was that about?" the twelve years old Sierra asked, against the sofa.
"What was what, Sierra Corine?" Regulus asked. "Damon! Get downstairs! Now!" he hollered before turning his attention back to the girl.
"You and mum spacing out when I told you that I got my Hogwarts letter." Sierra replied. "You both had that look. Your worried looks. Why do you look so worried?"
Sierra and Damon knew what happened before, but not everything. Regulus and Mia told them details that would help them understand why they need to be in different schools, to change their surname, or to not give out any information about their parents or information about where they live.
In short, the twins lived a very mysterious life which they didn't mind that much. The twins know what harm would come if someone knew who they really were and who their parents are, so they kept a low profile and it worked for them.
Regulus sighed. "You know we're just concerned, Sierra." he said, softly. "People might recognize you since you look so much like your mother. That's dangerous. You know it."
"I know." Sierra pouted, folding her arms against her chest. "I'm sorry I got expelled from Ilvermorny. I know I already apologized for it, but I'm saying it again. I should've controlled my emotions and I should've kept my head down." she said before she headed upstairs.
She immediately saw her twin at the end of the stairs. Damon tilted his head, gesturing for her to head upstairs with him and she did. Both of them entered Damon's apartment.
"You heard what I said, didn't you?" Sierra asked, as she started to clean her brother's room.
"Hogwarts letter, huh?" Damon clicked his tongue as he sat at the end of his bed as he watched his sister put his dirty clothes in the hamper. "You know that I'd love nothing more for you to be in a school other than Drumstrang, but like Regulus said, studying at Hogwarts might be dangerous."
"I just want to have the experience Maven talked so much about. I just want to have fun and be away from Ilvermorny, Damon. Studying there sucks. He made it fun until he left."
That caused Damon to softened up at her statement. "Do you really want to go and study at Hogwarts, Sierra Corine?" he asked and she slowly nodded. "Fine. I'll try and talk to mum and Regulus. They'll surely approve with my charms."
"Damon, I really love you, but you're so full of yourself." Sierra rolled your eyes. "Can would you clean your room for once? It smells like someone died in here."
"I'm not full of myself. No one can resist my charm, love. That's the beauty of being Damon De Martel." he smirked at her direction. "Now, let's order something to eat because I'm starving."
"You're always starving, Damon." she rolled her eyes at him.
"Don't do that again." Damon stated and Sierra furrowed her brows at her as she opened the door. "You stood up for someone else and you fought for yourself. That school couldn't see it, then screw them. Don't ever apologize for standing up for yourself."
