Hoarse screams were echoing throughout the household of Esmeralda Acker. She was screaming in pain causes by the cruciatus curse.

"Come on, Esmeralda, just tell me where she is and the pain and suffering with stop." stated the Man as he fiddled with his wand, a sadistic smile forming on his lips.

"How many times have I been telling you that I don't know where she is!" the woman exclaimed, clearly exhausted. "You've been torturing the wrong person, you know."

"See, I know you're lying. I can see it through your face. I can feel the anxiousness from you." he implied. "Come on, now, Esmeralda, tell me where she is." he said, sharply.

"Why are doing this, Grayson?" Esmeralda choked out, leaning back against the chair where she was tied up to. "Are you going to turn Amelia in? Is that why you want to find her? She's your sister."

Grayson grimaced. "I'm not going to turn her in." he implied. "I'm going to kill her." he said with an evil grin plastered on his lips.

The shock was evident in her face. "Why? What did she ever do to you?"

"Aren't you sick and tired of everyone trying to protect her and save her? Most of our family is death because they tried to protect her. She was always the perfect, kind, and lovable person. The De Martel that was full of light. Dad's favorite child." he growled, his voice laced with venom. "Dad always protected her since the day they found out that Amelia couldn't get hurt by magic. All their attention were on her. I always envied the attention she got, I envied everything she has."

"This is all jealousy, Grayson. You're angry at her for the things she cannot control. None of things that happened were her fault."

"She got Damon killed." Grayson pointed out, his forehead creasing. "Magic can't harm her yet, Amelia let Damon get in front of her when they fired the killing curse. She couldn't stayed in front of Damon! She's a coward! I hate for her for that. I won't just kill her, I need her blood for the spell. I'll be safe during the war."

Realization flashed through Esmeralda's eyes. "You're going to kill her for thr blood spell. You're sacrificing your own sister. No one will ever forgive you for what you'll be doing to Amelia, you sick bastard!"

Grayson shrugged, nonchalantly. "How would they know if there aren't no witnesses?" he smiled, devilishly. "Don't worry, Esmeralda, I won't kill you. I'll erase your memories, but, for now, tell me where she is."

Esmeralda didn't respond. She was in shock. When she met Grayson De Martel before, he was the sweet boy who wanted to protect his little sister, the boy who would do anything for her sister. It was all a facade. A show Grayson De Martel put on.

"Tell me where she is!" he demanded. "Or I swear to Merlin that I will kill you, Esmeralda. Don't make me."

"Then kill me." She spat, narrowing her eyes at him. "I'd rather be dead than to betray my family. I guess you and your grandfather have something in common. Betrayal runs in the family. Although, I never expected to history to repeat itself." she taunted. Slowly and surely, Grayson began to get furious. He knew his family was toxic, he never wanted to be compared to his betraying grandfather. Even though, he was very much like Anthony De Martel.

It was clear that Esmeralda was provoking the raven haired man. She would rather die than spill out secrets. She would do anything to keep Amelia and Regulus safe and the baby, even if it meant that she would have to die.

"Avada Kedvra." When she gazed at the De Martel, green light was shooting at her way. She was darkness and Grayson saw the lifeless body of Esmeralda Acker in front of him. He was angry, he lost control and he lost the only person who could tell him where his sister was.

Regulus placed the babies in the crib that he made before he walked over to Amelia who was smiling from ear to ear.

"Need anything else?" Regulus asked and Amelia shook her head, shifting in her bed.

"Nope. I'm good. Thank you." Amelia yawned, exhausted from giving birth. "You heading out?" she asked as she watched him put on his black trench coat.

The raven haired man nodded."Well, I'll be heading over to Esmeralda's for a bit. Probably tell her about you and then I'll be back as soon as possible. I promise."

"Okay. You stay safe." she smiled before closing her eyes to sleep. Regulus was nervous about leaving them all alone but he hasn't heard from Esmeralda which made him worry about her.

When he reached the house of Esmeralda Acker, he felt odd. He knew something was wrong when he saw the door slightly opened. Regulus immediately burst into the house, only to see the lifeless body of Esmeralda Acker on the floor. Her green eyes were staring into oblivion.

He immediately turned around and went back to where Amelia and the children were. He was scared for them, someone was after them and he left Amelia and the babies alone. Regulus wouldn't forgive himself if something happened to them. They were still sleeping when he arrived. Regulus Arcturus Black knew they weren't safe for long.

Amelia's eyes opened, seeing that Regulus pulled a mattress inside the room and dropped it on the ground. Her brows furrowed in confusion. "What on earth are you doing?"

He shook his head. "Go to sleep. You're exhausted. You'll tell you in the morning." Regulus offered her a small smile. "Good night."

Regulus didn't get an ounce of sleep that night. He couldn't sleep without thinking about the dangers that could happen while he was resting. He couldn't let anything happen to the people that were inside the house.

Regulus stood from the mattress when he heard one of the babies cooing. He chuckled softly as he saw Sierra kicking Damon slightly which caused him to get fuzzy.

The raven haired man glanced at the sleeping Amelia before carrying the little boy in his arms. He went to the other room to try and get the baby to sleep again.

"You really can't sleep, huh?" Regulus asked as he adjusted the way he was carrying the baby. Baby Damon was cooing. "I can't sleep either. Everytime I close my eyes, I think about deatheaters bursting into our house. We can't have that, right?"

The baby just cooed again, causing the raven haired man to smile, clearly amazed. He kissed the baby's forehead before he hummed a tune and watched the baby to slowly fall asleep.

When he was finally asleep, he entered the room where Amelia and Sierra were. Regulus slowly placed the baby inside of the crib before he laid down on his bed, closing his eyes to sleep since baby Damon calmed him down a bit.

When morning came, both adults carried the babies to the kitchen. Amelia was holding baby Sierra whilst Regulus carried baby Damon.

"When can Esmeralda get here? I want her to meet the babies before I leave Seattle." Amelia asked as they placed the baby in their high chair, courtesy of Savannah.

Regulus stiffened a bit. "Amelia."

"Regulus." she teased, smiling widely as she kissed the cheeks of her babies. "What's up?" she asked as her blue eyes met his grey ones.

"I don't think you can leave now." Regulus started. "Last night I went back to Esmeralda's house. She was dead when I got there. Someone is out there waiting for us and I can't risk you or the babies to get hurt."

Amelia's smile fell. "Esmeralda is dead?" her lips quivered as tears slowly rolled down her face. She wiped her tears away, refusing to cry in front of her kids. "Deatheaters?"

"Probably." Regulus nodded. “Bottom line is that we're all in trouble. Outside isn't safe again. We can't leave. Not yet, anyway. If we leave and get caught by whoever killed Esmeralda, we might die or worse, we might end up in the Dark Lord's hands.
