When she got home, Erasmus had prepared dinner and was setting the table
"Hi, you're welcome back...thank you...how was your day?...good, yours?...good too, thank you. I know I owe you an apology, sorry for the way I acted earlier today. I had to leave you at work to prepare this, you must be hungry, please have a seat" he pulled out a chair for her, Rose just stared at him without uttering a word and sat down.

"Rose, I'm really sorry, please say something...did I do anything wrong?...no please, you didn't. The problem is with me, please forgive me...it's fine, don't worry...thank you". After dinner, he packed the utensils and refused to let Rose help him. He got the gift out after clearing the table and handed it to her

"This is something small to placate you...you didn't have to get anything for me...you deserve more, open it" she opened it and saw a very expensive emerald necklace "thank you, it's lovely...my pleasure". She went into her room and checked her phone for any notifications. Kirk texted her to check on her

"Hey😊...how are things at home?"

"Hello, surprisingly good. You won't believe what happened"

"Tell me"

"When I got home Erasmus had prepared dinner for both of us and apologised for his change in behaviour, then he got me a very expensive gift"

"Really😳, I see. We thank God his behaviour was nothing serious but please take good care of yourself, you may never know what he's up to"

"Yeah I will...thank you"

"You're welcome. One more thing, we have midweek service tomorrow in the evening at 7:00, I thought to let you know in case you would like to join us🙂"

"Oh ok, I have some things to do but let's see"

"Okay, but if you're not able to come don't worry, you can just go on sunday"

"Okay, thank you"

"You're welcome, I'll leave you to rest. Have a blessed night and sound sleep"

"You too, goodnight".

Kirk's Stance
I asked her if she could make it for midweek service and she wasn't really sure, I'm so eager to see her grow in the things of God. So far, her attitude towards church is positive. Now she's cheerful than when I first met her but there's still this sadness I see in her eyes. It's like she still has some things from her past hunting her.

"Holy spirit please grant me the wisdom to act accordingly around her. I don't know why you asked me to approach her in the first place but I believe, you will help me lead her more to you".

I decided to go to church from work since going home and getting to church would mean me spending more time on the road and I might be late.
Church looked empty which meant that I was early, I entered and sat at the back to do some meditation before service started. Then I saw someone approaching me, apparently I wasn't alone. When she got closer, I realized who it was🤦‍♂️, you've got to be kidding me.

"Hello Bro. Kirk, how are you?...hello Sis. Pearl, I'm great and you?...I'm excellent now that I've seen you...good to know...can I join you?...why not" I was smiling but inwardly beating myself for entertaining her, she was too clingy for my liking but I had to just endure before church started.

"So how's Sis. Rose?...she's good...you didn't come with her today, why?...she had some things to do...what is more important than having fellowship with God and fellow brethren...you should understand her Sis. Pearl, she's a new convert and is still learning...anyway enough about her, can you take me home today after church? I took a bus and my road is not safe at night...okay, I'll ask Bro. William to drop you off, if he can't then I will...oh ok" I could see disappointment written all over her.

"Sis. Pearl, I wanted to ask you something...oh really, I'm all ears...why did you behave the way you did towards Sis. Rose?...oh that...oh that?...I'm sorry if I offended you but I  just saw something odd about her...she was a first timer for God's sake and the way you treated her could have made her change her mind about coming to church again...she's hiding something, my instincts tell me...I can't believe this, of course she can't tell you everything about her on the first day and besides church is for perfecting the saints so please don't be a hindrance to someone's life being given a meaning...okay, I'm sorry...it's not me you should be apologising to but Sis.Rose...I will apologise to her when I see her, please don't be angry at me...I hope you keep to your word".

I saw the deacon who was about to lead opening prayers and thankfully relieved me from the conversation. I decided to remain where I was sitting and just move with the flow of the spirit from there. During the praise and worship session, I saw someone who looked like Rose enter and was directed to sit two seats away from mine but I didn't know she would be able to make it. I decided to wait till after service to find out.

Service was supernatural as expected and I was so glad I made it to church, I've always been happy to be in my Father's presence. Someone waved at me and I saw her, it was Rose. My joy was elevated the more, I was so happy she could make it to church. I gave her a hug and proceeded to ask questions

"I didn't know you would come...I didn't really have anything to do, I wanted to surprise you...oh you sure did, I'm glad you came. So how was the message?...it was powerful, I learnt a lot...if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask me okay...sure" just then Sis. Pearl had to show up

"Hi Sis.Rose, good to see you...hello Sis_...Pearl, the name is Pearl...Sis. Pearl, I'm sorry I couldn't remember your name...it's okay, sorry about the other day, I wasn't really myself...it's okay please...you wouldn't mind if Bro.Kirk drops me off at home would you?...erhm no, it's his car not mine...good" I immediately beckoned Bro.William who thankfully came to church and asked him to drop Pearl at her home while I took Rose home. Pearl wasn't too happy about the arrangement but I wasn't about to give in to her either.
