Kirk's Stance

I met Rose outside the auditorium after service and she looked distraught so I went ahead to ask if she was okay and all she was saying was

"Oh God, please this can't be happening, no no no...Rose are you okay?...Kirk, I saw him, I saw him again today in my class...who did you see?" I noticed she couldn't support her weight so I reached out to her immediately, led her back into the auditorium and sat beside her. She held on to my hands and I wasn't really in a hurry to let go. I tried to get her attention because she was staring into space.

"Rose, Rose_Rose...yes...I asked who you saw...Kirk, I know God forgives the worst of sins but what about rape?...Rose what happened?...I saw him again, he looked neat and had a clean shave but I could never forget his face_ I saw the drunkard who raped me, Kirk, he was in my class today and I taught him. He even asked a question and I answered, he looked familiar but I couldn't place him but then I remembered after service...Rose, listen to me, you have to calm down; breath in and out_ good, now if he was in your class, that means he's a changed person...I don't want to believe this is happening, why did he have to appear now that I've moved on...did he recognize you?...I don't think so because he spoke to me like that was his first time seeing me, moreover he was heavily drunk that day...wow, you have to take it easy and ask the Holy spirit for guidance. I know you're going through a lot right now but don't let the hurt and anger from your past experience cloud your judgement, you're a loving, caring and forgiving person so let that prevail okay...okay, please can you help me confront him when the time comes?...of course, I'll be with you as long as you need me, you'll pull through this. Everything is well, I don't want you to lose that inner peace and joy you have now. The bible says in James 1:2 that count it all joy when you go through diverse tests. Why is it at this point in your life that he resurfaced, God knows you can go through this phase of your life and come out as a winner no matter how you feel...yes! The joy of the Lord is my strength and I'm greatly helped. I'll pull through this by the power of the Holy Spirit...I'm so glad you've grown in the things of God, even though you're still learning, you've made such tremendous progress...yes and It's all thanks to you, thank you for always following me up and checking on me. May God continue to bless you...Amen_let's go get lunch okay, I don't want you to think about this for the time being...alright".

She was now in a bigger apartment but she moved in with Jane because they had formed a close bond, more than sisters and they had individual rooms now. Jane left immediately after church to take care of some personal stuff so I took Rose home after we had lunch

"Let me get you some water...oh no, I'm okay...okay. So how's your sister?...she's great, she will be around next week...that's nice, I can finally get to meet her...yes you will. Has Erasmus tried reaching out to you again?...he's been trying but I've made my stance clear...okay...yeah, what about you?...what is it about me?...Erhm, Sis.Pearl_ I know she likes you but you don't seem to give her attention...You also noticed🤦‍♂️, I don't know what to do about her anymore...why don't you give her a chance, I mean I've not seen you with any other lady apart from Jane and I. Please don't let us be stumbling blocks...oh come on Rose, I'm not interested in her besides I thought you're my friend...of course I am... so why would you push me to be with someone like that...she's okay, apart from her being clingy, judgemental and sometimes looks down on people...exactly why I wouldn't go into a relationship with her...you could at least try😉". We spoke at length and It was getting late, Jane came home just when I was about to leave and went inside her room after exchanging pleasantries. Rose walked me to the car parked on the compound.

"How are you feeling now?... I feel much better. I know I have to deal with this sooner or later but I'll take it one day at a time and let the spirit lead while I follow...that is it😊, this will turn into a testimony...Amen!!!... alright, see you soon...okay, drive safely...yes please, thanks"

"Hey I didn't expect to see Bro.Kirk here at this time, is everything okay?...yeah, he stayed for awhile after dropping me. Jane, you won't believe what happened...what?...the man who took advantage of me appeared in my new converts' class today and he doesn't seem to recognize me, I also remembered him after church because he had changed a lot in his looks...oh my_ how did you feel?... I wasn't feeling okay at all, as you can imagine, the memories just kept flooding into my mind but Kirk spoke to me and helped me see things in a better light...awww, thank God for Bro.Kirk...yes, I thank God for him...you know he's been paying more attention to you of late...what do you mean by that?...well, I've known him for awhile and he's a very good friend of mine but since we became roommates or flat mates, he's always coming here either to pay for something or to check if we need something, he never did that when I lived alone... he won me to Christ so it's only natural that he feels responsible for me...I wouldn't mind us becoming one big family you know😉...get out of here...Hahahahah" she threw one of the pillows on the couch at her and they were both cracking up with laughter.
