She woke up drenched in sweat, from another episode of her nightmares. Since the rape incident, she's been having recurring nightmares, it looked like she was reliving the incident all over again and seeing the man coming back into her life. It was quite early but she couldn't go back to sleep so she took her bath and proceeded to read one of the materials given to her at church.

The Lord Jesus doesn't leave you the way you're used to being left_feeling abandoned, bereft. So don't be upset or distraught when you go through challenges in life, they come to promote you, therefore you should embrace them because the greater your challenges, the greater your testimonies. It doesn't matter what you go through in life, once you're in Christ, you're already a winner, what matters is that you pass through the situation and come out as a victor and not as a victim. Life is like a movie, wherein you're the protagonist, no matter what the main character faces, he/she has a happy ending and in this case, God has made you the scriptwriter so that you can be able to rewrite your story to fit your current status in Christ. The bible says in John 16:33{These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world}, the message translation puts it better; {I've told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I've conquered the world}. Take heart! You're a world overcomer. Hallelujah!

She was amazed at how the word for that day dealt with what she was facing at that particular point in her life. She felt at peace, the Lord Jesus had given her the peace she so desired. She immediately texted Kirk
"Hello, Kirk, how are you?"
"Hi😊...it's so good to hear from you. I'm great, what about you?"
"I'm good. Are you busy now?"
"No please. What is it?"
"I need you to help me deal with a particular issue I'm facing..."
"Oh ok sure, what's the matter?"
"I've been having these nightmares after something I experienced some months ago, I thought it would stop after awhile but it keeps getting worse and I'm tired of fighting on my own. I want to be able to sleep soundly for once without having to wake up every morning drenched in sweat and panting"
"🤔we would have to talk in person so you can tell me what happened for the nightmares to have started"
"............
"Hey, are you there?"
"..............
"Rose?"
"Yeah I'm here. Please don't worry, I'll deal with it somehow. I'm getting used to it already..."
"You don't have to...you have to know that suffering is by choice. Whatever it is would have to be dealt with sooner or later. You can confide in me, I'm not one to tell people's secrets. But if you need more time I understand that, just don't give up on dealing with the issue once and for all okay?"
"Huh🤦♀️...I don't know if I'll ever have the courage to open up to you about this"
"You can do it if you want to, once you make up your mind to face it and put it behind you once and for all. I want to let you know that I'll always be here when you're ready"

"Not really, I'll just be home and probably do some chores"
"Okay, can I pick you up at 2:00pm? I have something to show you"

Rose went out to do some chores and prepared some delicacies for the week. Erasmus seemed to have left the house, she heard some noises on the compound and peeped through the window to see who it was. It was Erasmus and another gentleman, the way they were dressed showed that they had gone for a run. They came in and she heard Erasmus telling him to have a seat and make himself comfortable.
"Rose, please come with me, I would like to introduce you to my friend...okay" they went to where the gentleman was sitting
"Rose meet Alex, my colleague at work and a good friend as well. Alex meet Rose, the lady I told you about...nice to meet you Rose, I've heard so much about you" he shook hands with her
"Good things I hope...oh yeah and you look more beautiful in person...oh, thank you...you're welcome" he still held on to Rose's hand and Erasmus snatched it from him
"Relax man, I'm not taking her away" they all burst out laughing. Rose went in to get them water and excused herself.
"Wow, Erasmus, she's better than all the other ladies combined...you can say that again, do you now understand why I am not willing to let her go?...certainly, you should move fast, I would have made a move if you weren't my friend" Erasmus punched him playfully on the arm.
