Part 6

After a minute, she had lost her virginity to a worthless drunkard. He left her there weeping and she told herself she couldn't face Erasmus, she felt so ashamed of herself. That day, she slept in the uncompleted building. When Erasmus got home, he was expecting to see her but to his surprise she wasn't around. He became alarmed
"Did she leave even after reading my note?" he thought to himself. He started calling out her name

"Angel, Angel" on an impulse he started calling her Rose. He wanted to call the police but remembered that when a person went missing, it should be reported after 72 hours of the the person's departure. Erasmus went to his room, knelt beside his bed and started praying "Father please keep her safe from harm and protect her. Please bring her home"

On the 3rd day after Rose went missing, he went to the police station to file a complaint. He remembered she didn't know anywhere in that neighbourhood and could not have gone far. He set out to look for her, he headed towards the uncompleted building. When he moved forward a little, he spotted Rose lying on the floor asleep. Erasmus went to tap her and she woke up looking scared

"Angel what are you doing here, I've been searching all over for you" she started weeping
"Please tell me what's wrong with you...I know when you find out you will kick me out of your house... I will do no such thing...that's because you have no idea of what happened...then tell me. Let's go home so we can talk... I'm sorry, I can't go with you. I am filthy...why are you talking like this, did someone hurt you?...I will not be able to laugh again, my life has been ruined". At this point he held her hand and pulled her up to her feet "I'm taking you home this minute whether you like it or not". When they got home he was calling the police, "what are you doing?...calling the police... why?...because when I couldn't find you I called them... please don't, I don't want to be investigated... I'll just tell them I found you... no please don't, it's better I leave".

Erasmus could not fathom the reason why she was talking like that. It's like she was afraid of something, he drew closer to her and she took a step back "Angel please tell me what happened to you, look at you, you're shaking all over... I can't tell you, I'm sorry. You will feel only disgust for me when you know... what makes you think that, it's as if someone has taken something precious from you. Please tell me and I promise not to kick you out"
Angel thought it over and decided to confide in him, after all if he kicked her out, it was on the streets that he found her in the first place.

"Erasmus, I was _ I was erhm..." someone knocked on the door and his attention was drifted. Clara was in tears when she was ushered in, she told him that she had just lost her dad. He had to console her every now and then, this made Rose feel left out. As a result she kept what happened to herself.

Clara took advantage of her situation to get closer to Erasmus and possibly get back together with him.
