Erasmus woke up and realised that he was in Rose's room, he quickly got up, went to his room and took a shower as he was running late for work. Rose stayed at home to do some cleaning and decided to look for a job. She was contemplating on leaving the place in order not to increase Erasmus' expenses and overburden him. After everything, she went out to look for a job. She tried a lot of places around but due to her lack of experience, she wasn't accepted. Rose then decided to go to the publishing company where Erasmus worked, fortunately for her, there was a notice which read
"CLEANER NEEDED;
IF INTERESTED, CONTACT US ON 06288940 OR SEE THE HR MANAGER".
She went in, asked for the HR's office and went to see him. He interrogated her at length "You have no working experience, you're not supposed to get this job but I will give you the job...oh thank you very much Sir...hold on, that's not all. You will be on probation for a month, where we'll decide whether you stay or leave...yes please, thank you, I won't disappoint you".
When she went back home, she cooked, ate her portion and went to take a nap in her room. Erasmus came back at 6:00pm, warmed the food and ate it then took a shower. He was sitting in the parlour watching a football match on tv when Rose came in
"Hey😊...hi, how are you?...I'm okay and you, how was your day at work?...it was good, same routine...okay, that's good. Have you eaten already?... yeah, I warmed the food, thanks for that...don't mention. I have something to tell you...okay, I'm listening". He paid close attention as Rose told him she didn't want to be a burden to him so she looked for a job
"You did what?...calm down Erasmus, let me finish. I looked for a job but I wasn't employed because I don't have any experience yet...thank God...I'm not done_ so I went to your workplace and got a job as a cleaner" when she was done, she noticed how displeased he was.
"Angel, I have told you that you're not a burden to me, you don't need to go and work as a cleaner anywhere, you deserve more than that... listen Erasmus, I need the job to cater for myself, I can't continue to depend on you for everything, it's embarrassing sometimes. I'm on probation for 4 weeks after that if I get the job, praise God and if not I'll still keep on searching... if that's what you want I'll respect your decision even though I'm not happy about it...thank you for understanding...you don't need to thank me, I care a lot about you that's why I don't want anyone belittling you... and I appreciate that...alright, it's getting late and I have a long day tomorrow, goodnight dear, sweet dreams...goodnight and sound sleep".
