She rushed round the hostel. Trying to remember what she had to do next. Her friend and an unfamiliar face came into the room. They spoke, casual chit chat. After a long struggle of constant forgetting, they where almost ready to leave; getting a coffee or something. "Who got you those flowers?" her friend asked. "Pete," she said, a smile lighting her face up. "He hasn't spoken to me in a while though, I love him," she said, like a little girl; completely in love. Little could she remember that Pete passed away. Almost two years ago. She suffered terrible memory loss; dementia or something. It was crazy; how through everything, everyone she's forgotten; she remembers the one she forever loved the most. The way the brightness lit her face up when she spoke of him; it's indescribable. It broke others hearts knowing that she's clueless that her soulmate, lover, husband; is gone. She'll never know the wiser.

I didn't know how to word this whole thing. It's so hard to explain. This actually happened. 'She's' a family friend of mine. This is the first time I've seen her when she's been this bad. It truly broke my heart this morning when this happened.
