The rain pelted down, drenching her clothes a little more. Her pace picked up, trying to reach the dry safety of her home. Her music was pumping as heavy and fast as her heart but as her mind began to fill with the negative thoughts she was trying to run from, her pace slowed; eventually she stopped altogether. Her body flopped to the concrete ground, much like a rag-doll and tears streamed from her eyes at a steady pace. Her eyes fluttered shut and her legs ached from the heavy exercise she had just experienced. Ragged breaths and loud music shook her body. Her body curled into a ball and she tried to push herself out of the dark place she was stuck in. She knew she had no mental or physical energy left - this was not her day.
