A single tear splashed onto the paper that sat in front of her, slightly smudging the ink that was messily scrawled out across the page. Her fingers shook slighlty and she slowly placed her pen down, heaving a sigh as she did so. The sky outside darkened quickly, making her lose the light in the small room. She flicked the switch for the lamp beside her and glared at it when it didn't flicker to life like expected. Another sigh left her lips as she pushed herself up to head for the lightswitch on the other side of the bedroom. Her bones creeked as she slowly made her way to the wall. A yawn came out of her mouth, making her feel more tired than she felt. The artificial light filled the room and she bounded back towards her desk, feeling a storm of emotions course through her mind. She picked up the book; filled with her stories, and picked up her lighter that sat beside her carton of cigarettes. A frown etched itself on her features and she pushed herself to do something she had never seen coming. She pushed her thumb down and the flame appeared. No sooner the book was in flames, the flames dancing evily as it consumed her every thought, soon to replace it with nothing but a pile of dust.
