A loud thunder clap roared, soon followed by a bright flash of lightening. Her body lay curled up on the windowsill, a small tangled blanket keeping her fur warm. Her owner sat beside her, their cold hand gently petting the cat. A shiver ran through the owner, he hated thunder storms. He counted under his breath, calculating how far away the lightening bolt decided to hit. The rain began to get heavier against the window, the wind making the old house creak in places it probably should have been creaking. The pulled back curtains blew with the wind that escaped outside's storm for inside's warmth. The rain drops soon doubled in size, making louder patters against the house. He hiccuped, scaring the cat. Muttering a sorry he flattened himself out, cuddling beside the cat, using her blanket. It licked his nose and he groaned, quickly wiping it, "ew". The next round of thunder sounded scaring the boy, making him jump, only to scare the cat.
