Your words are cryptic messages, your eyes are hidden, dark. Every word is a lie, hiding a bigger truth. Your sadness had become to consume you. Your happiness, no longer in sight. Consistently playing pretend with your own mind. Your lips are never curved into a smile, but much rather always turned down into a frown. Your friends have left. You're vacant. Alone. It wasn't meant to turn out like this. It didn't happen overnight. But when it began to happen, denial blocked the ability to recover before you fell. You missed what had. You wish for better though. But if anything were to change, would you be happy? Would you just wish for more? It isn't greed. It's the blurred expectations, molding your innocence to something scary; something horrifying.
