The door slammed open, as I looked up, he was there. He came close to my bed, he looked like he was in pain. He fell to a heap just before he reached my bed. I panicked and got to him as quick as possible. He had tears streaming down his face at fast steady pace, they soaked into his shirt and onto my carped that laid across the shiny floorboards. He gasped for breath in between his loud sobs, it was a heartbreaking scene to have in front of me. After minutes of suspense, no one had said anything, my patients was wearing thin and I still had no clue in what had happened. His hands grasped mine, a soft, but firm grip, he hoisted himself up from his pile on the floor, we where eye level. He pressed his forehead and said the least expected words.
"I love you."
