His hands slipped into his hoodie's pocket as he kicked the dirt beneath his feet. "Stop," his mother scolded. He made a face and held back tears. Him and his mother walked forward through the doors. A woman with golden blonde hair and a huge smile beamed at the two, "Welcome, how can I help you?" In a split second the boys eyes where on the floor. The mother almost looked proud, "I'm here to drop my lovely son off." The blonde woman's jaw dropped in disbelief. "Are... are you sure?"
"Positive."
"I'll be off then," his mother had quickly added before she escaped out the doors. His first few tears reluctantly streamed down his face. "I didn't mean it," he muttered. The blonde woman brought him into a tight hug. She smelled like fresh roses, he though. Too homey for a foster home.
