She lay flat on her bed as she tossed the seemingly magical plastic ball up repeatedly. It was an organize ball; when you threw or rolled it, it changed to green. She remembers buying it from a $2 shop with her best friends about three years ago. She forgot about it until tonight. She's played with it for about four hours straight now. This ball, this simple object, has cleared her mind. No more sadness, no more regret, no nothing. She has happy thoughts now. Instead of moping on the fact she couldn't see her amazing boyfriend today; she was smiling at the fact she'll be seeing him tomorrow. There's no more anger aimed at her annoying mother; just relief that she hasn't spoken to her for a few hours. It's the simple things that can put a smile on your face when you're not being pessimistic.
