You struggle to stand still. Maybe it's adrenaline, maybe it's the alcohol or maybe it's your excitable self. The music pumps loud and dancing becomes contagious. You're having a blast while you're out. And while your out, I'm working. After a long day, I spend my time waiting for the next shift to roll around. And while you're out having fun, I'm working and worrying about all the money I can't spend because I'm not working enough. And while you're out having fun and socialising, I realise I'm not social. Fear and adrenaline run through me similarly, but ever so differently. Because I'm stuck here shaking, sitting on the end of my bed. And even in our similarities, we're ever so different. And maybe that's why I'm here, and you're out.
