It's the last day of school and I could not be more relieved. Junior year was brutal, but it's finally over. I wish I could just go on a vacation far away from here...but my Mom makes me go to bible camp. Every summer. I go to my closet and pick out my outfit for school. I settle on a white pair of shorts and a rainbow tie dye shirt. Rainbow shirt? Oh we're being bold today aren't we? I go to my bathroom and put my hair in a side ponytail. I get a text on my phone.
Emma: ITS THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!
Me: YEAHHHHHH
Emma: WE'RE GONNA BE SENIORS!!!
Me: WOOP WOOP
Emma: are we still going to the beach after school?
Me: yep
Emma: okay i'll see you at school...i have a surprise for you
Me: tell meeee
Emma: well that would ruin the surprise...meet me in the courtyard and you'll find out😏
Me: wait nooo don't do that to me😭
Emma: i'll see you at school i love you❤️
Me: fine. i love you too😒💜
It took a bit of convincing, but my Mom agreed to let me go to the beach with Emma. Well, she agreed to let me go to the beach with the cheerleaders. I hate lying to her, but how else am I supposed to spend time with my girlfriend? Plus, I'm going to be away at bible camp for 3 weeks so I won't be able to see her then.
I get to school and make my way to the courtyard. I see Emma standing by a tree with a big smile on her face like a dope. I practically sprint to her and grab her cheeks and place multiple kisses on her lips.
"Alyssa- I cut her off with a long passionate kiss.
"I needed to get that out of my system before I leave for bible camp." I say with a smile.
"We're in the courtyard..." Emma says with a scared look on her face.
"You don't think I scanned the courtyard before I came over here and basically violated your lips?" I say with a chuckle.
I go in for another kiss but Emma stops me by slightly turning her head.
"No more until I give you your surprise." Emma says with a smile.
She pulls a small box out of her jacket pocket and hands it to me. I open the box and there lays a necklace with an A on it.
"It's so pretty." I say.
"I wanted you to have something that reminds you of me when you're gone." Emma says.
I turn around and Emma puts it around my neck.
"I love you." I say quietly.
"I love you more." Emma says
I turn back around and go in for another kiss and Emma smirks.
"You can kiss me later." she smirks.
