Alyssa: WAIT WHAT?!
Me: bruins or bobcats?
Alyssa facetimes me almost instantly.
"Can I help you?" I say jokingly as I answer the call.
"Emma." Alyssa says sternly.
"What?" I say with a smile.
"You got in to both schools?" Alyssa asks.
"I did." I say.
"We gotta decide where we're going then." Alyssa says excitedly.

Today is the first day back at school since the prom. I'm just a little nervous about what people will say. All the other couples hold hands in the hallway...no one is going to tell us to stop holding hands if we do.
Maybe I should just leave it alone...it's not that serious anyway.
I walk into school and Alyssa is standing at my locker waiting for me...just like how things used to be.
"Heyyy." Alyssa says with a big smile.
"Hey." I say as I open my locker.
"Can you believe that we're graduating next month?" Alyssa asks.
"Can you believe that you're most likely going to be valedictorian?" I say while closing my locker
"That hasn't been determined yet." Alyssa says quietly.
"Okay but, you probably have the highest GPA in the school. Cmon a 5.014, who could beat that?" I chuckle.
"Emma, I'm sure I'm not the only student here who's in the running for valedictorian." Alyssa laughs.
Alyssa holds her hand out and looks at me waiting for me to grab it. Honestly, it would be offensive if I didn't. I grab her hand and we start walking down the hallway.
Alyssa doesn't even care. I'm over here stressing about what people will do, but she's here with the biggest smile on her face. Her face is screaming, "I dare you to ruin my happiness."
"Are we still on for homework at your place?" Alyssa asks as we arrive at my class.
"Yeah, of course." I say.
Alyssa gives me a kiss on the cheek and heads up to the second floor.
I take my seat in class when I get a text.
Unknown Number: meet me in the main hallway
Me: ummm do i know you???
Unknown Number: just do it
Me: what happens if i dont
Unknown Number: you'll regret it
Me: um okay just give it time class just started
Who was that? What do they mean I'll regret it? Are they going to hurt me? Or are they going to hurt Alyssa?
I actively pay attention to the lecture for 30 minutes just to pass the time.
